Thank you republicans for JBE this is at your feet

Look at the zip code map of where the cases are. Shut those areas down.

My point is, 3 people per parish is such a small number
If someone Can't understand your point, that 3 people is way too low a number for a shutdown, he should kill himself.

So the curve that needed to be flattened ended up being virtually parallel with the x axis?
Can't have flattened it much more. Why didn't we open up weeks ago?
I can understand letting the curve stay flat for a couple of three weeks, but enough is enough. Besides things aren’t uniform across the state. Much of west La. could have been open while hot spots closed a little longer.

You are one sick bastard. How are you ok with people dying from CV.
You are no better than the republicans that are wanting to open up the economy just because there is no hard evidence that 'stay at home' helps. Are you really a Nazi?
This is a troll/sarcasm isn't it?

Remember when everyone was talking about doctors having to choose which of the sickest patients would get access to scarce ventilators? Or when they were talking about two patients having to share a ventilator? I member.

yes. Somebody caught it. Was just pointing out how the fool is horrified at three people dying but its ok for one to die.
Who the hell is he? why does he get to decide. Giving him a taste of his own medicine by being even more ridiculous than him.

If we opened up 100% on the 15th and we saw a second identical spike would your opinion chance?

Less than this...trust me. ICU's stay full...this is bullshite.

quote:If number of ventilators in use was an indicator of impact, then you would be on to something. How about just opening up because it is time to do so, we have proved that we can control this and be within the capacity of our HC system. That was the point, and we should be opened up. The only thing I would have shut down is gatherings of 50 or more and no schools or churches for a couple months.
But putting it into that context - an average of less than 3 per parish - and then realizing we are still locked down statewide, to me is just incredible. Most of the 64 parishes probably have 0 or 1. Why can't they open up?
Allow funerals and weddings with a little common sense.

You understand thats how a curve works
The question is "Do you know how ICU and/or vent capacity work.
Flattening the curve was never about getting "on the back end of it" or getting "past it."
Flattening the curve served ONE PURPOSE ONLY -- to prevent overflooding of our hospital care capacity. Flattening the curve had nothing to do with lowering total cases. It was to prevent a surge of cases over a short timeframe.
Relative to the question you posed without apparently knowing the answer, this is how a curve works:

The rest of the state has been quarantining people from Orleans or Jefferson for months already. Let the rest of the state open
