I mean, I’m sure I’ll get killed for this, but part of me agrees with him. Honestly I wish we had the ability to keep him in a much bigger enclosure, like a big field with huge fencing and a bigger waterhole. Tigers need a lot of territory to roam on. I don’t think anyone who’s a big animal lover thinks the situation is ideal, but Mike gets cared for way better than 90% of tigers living in enclosures. Also we could release live animals in the field and pay for admission to watch the carnage. Win/win.

I don't particularly care what he or anyone else thinks and would challenge them to find a tiger that's better cared for or that lives in a nicer enclosure than that one. I've honestly walked by that cage a few times and been jealous.

Well, he'll have the money to build whatever kind of enclosure he thinks is suitable for Mike. If it bothers him that much, he can cut a fricking check.

Best part of the interview was Burrow just roasting Coach Duggs. Burrow for Texas Tech defensive coordinator!

Mike's house is priceless.

I love Burrow but he hasn't been around for all the previous Mike's.

That animal is more than just a tiger. He's part of a long lineage of previous tigers and they have hardly kept in poor conditions (Not saying that's what Burrow said, I'm just not clicking on a blind link)

That Tiger lives a great life. The ones who were there before him did, he shall and is, and so will his followers.

Not sure why you felt the need to post this.

I mean... it's a message board and it's not like this hasn't been discussed on the board before. Kind of noteworthy that the best of LSU football player of all-time commented on it.

Interesting that you posted in the thread, just to finish your thought with that.

I literally told you what the link was and even gave you the timestamp, the exact opposite of a blind link.

Not really when I just explained that he isn't taking into consideration all the previous Mikes. And to be fair, how would he know? He was in high school.

As I stated, I love Burrow and my comments aren't a dig at the kid. I'm just not clicking on a blind link (yes you said what it was about. I'm not clicking on a link where I have to dig through whatever it is you want your point to be about. That's just me. Maybe provide some cliffs) about what he said. Aside from the subject of your thread.

The tiger is hardly kept in poor conditions and poor care. That's my point. Neither he, nor the others were.

So that's why I said:

what you posted in the thread

Furthermore,

Why talk about it again?

You and I both know the conditions of Mike's habitat so leave it at that. If Burrow feels differently, then that's his choice.

Fair enough?

I mean, you can leave the thread if you want.

No one is forcing you to post in it.

But I want to, because I think it's funny that you're trying to be the gatekeeper of TD.

I am? How do you figure that? I pride myself on being objective and letting people do their own thing on here, I generally stay away from making confrontations because in the long run, it's pointless. People will believe what they want.

With that being said, I'm also not going to just say, "Oh ok, well so and so said this....." and believe it. If that person wants to think that, that's their right.

It doesn't make them right, but they are entitled to their opinion.

I simply stated that Burrow isn't taking into account all the previous tiger mascots. And to be fair, how we he know? He was in high school.

I've said it 3x now.

I'm hardly trying to be the gatekeeper of the rant. I just brought positive attention to a thread you posted that you wanted to stir everyone up with.

You, on the other hand, seem to want to disregard anything that you don't agree with, the fact that you can't even answer my "fair enough" question is indicative of that. You're direct response was
quote:

I want to
Proving you just want to argue, which is why you posted this thread regarding something that has previously been posted. You said that yourself.

I'm done wasting my time on your foolishness.

Your a $million idea man!

How about dressing up a Matt McConaughey look alike in a Univ Texas rodeo outfit talking trash about riding his steer into Death Valley to whip some Tiger butt. Make it a musical. A longhorn steer ends up in Mike’s Tiger cage during Texas week (on CCTV) and paint the steer up with BEVO on his sides and charge the 1,000+ boosters a fee of $1000 each for a BBQ held inside the Football Practice Center. All get a take home Video of Mike getting to know his new playpal BEVO.

3.7 million and 15,000 square feet.... They could probably expand a bit to give him a cool 20k square feet as well.

However, this always boils down to Mike has always lived in captivity he would not survive in the wild, tigers in captivity actually live longer, Mike has the best vet staff, premium nutrition, and receives the best care from his handlers.

Uhhh, no. That cat wants to hunt and run and mate, not lay in a cage all day. I’m fine with the current situation, but your point is likely wrong.

A tiger lives by one ethic: that might makes right. If he was free he would kill and kill and kill, often just for the sake of killing. He would kill and not even eat the prey. We’ve all seen house cats torment a mouse or a lizard; it’s wanton cruelty. It’s not like we have Gandhi in a cage.

I’m sure you’re right. I don’t give a hoot what a callow 23 year old thinks. Nor do I care what actors think. The ability to act or play sports does not usually twin with sage social ideas.
