If it wasn't the HBO documentary you need to check that out too. it's scathing. so many layers to that story. her intentional deep voice and slew of tony robbin like lines will make you want to jump off a building

There is a huge push in Silicone Valley for someone other than a straight white male to succeed in the Tech world. Facts or competencies be damned. Here you have a perfect example of how this can go wrong.

Her blood test fiasco was a cautionary tale on so many things wrong with our economy and society in general. Her adventures were melange of greed, hope, misplaced confidence and ignorance. Just another example of why you let technical subject matter expertise, not marketing hype drive an operation.

She knew all of the right people, she was marginally attractive and she's probably a sociopath. She fed them the right line of BS and they wanted to believe it.
I really don't think she's all that different from a lot of billionaires that actually make it as far as crossing ethical boundaries. I think the majority of them commit fraud at some point. Her scamming was just her way of business, and not a means to an legitimate end.
