True.

I'd definitely take all these over Kobe. He's somewhere 10-20.

MJ
Kareem
LeBron
Wilt
Bird
Magic
Shaq
Dream
Duncan
Dr. J
Karl Malone
Moses Malone
KG
Dirk

I was never a big Kobe fan, but anyone that says he's not top 10 is just hatin'.

Splitting hairs imo. I wouldn’t say he’s top 5-6, but he’s for sure top 15-20.

Top 10 is a push imo, he’s right on that fringe with a handful of other guys who are all right around the same caliber career wise.

Yeah. He had one Lakers year. I don't think he was better than Kobe, but he's close enough that I tried to give dude every benefit of every doubt.

This is weird logic. Malone was on his last leg as a Laker. Idk how you could argue him AS A LAKER was better than Kobe.

I tend to give Kobe a slight edge vs Wade,

kobe's edge over Wade is much more than slight.

also, i don't think anyone can definitively say Kobe was not a better all around basketball player than Bird or Magic. the automatic inclusion of both those guys in a top 5 all time list is partially built on 80s nostalgia.

That was not my arguement. Malone was a better player than Kobe and he was a Laker for a year.

Hell, Steve Nash was terrible in LA but he has twice as many league MVP's as Kobe.

Lol no way

Kobe gets such a vault because of his influence on pop culture.

He was not better than Wade & the numbers show that

Kobe's top five PER seasons:

28.0, 26.2, 26.1, 24.5, 24.4.

Wade's top five PER seasons:

30.4, 28.9, 28.0, 27.6, 26.3.

There are ways in which Wade owns Kobe, and that's coming from someone who gave Kobe an overall slight edge.

Wade's peak was better than Kobe.

But Kobe gave you more sustained great play, more seasons worth.
