Used to walk there from my house on West often for a cocktail. Only ate there a couple of times.

This place didn't stay open that long, maybe a year or two, but it was called Linebackers. It was on Essen.

Yeah I remember going there once. Don’t recall much about it except.

Himalayas on Sherwood was the great Indian food.

Forget the name but I loved the Vietnamese place in the strip mall near LSU that’s not there anymore. Across from Louies.

The original Louie's when it was on W State St. Ate my way out of many hangovers at that place in the late 80's

The frozen peach Bellini was awesome at macaroni grill. I loved it when they had opera singers but they quit doing that towards the end.

Does Anthony's Deli still exist?

Yes. I purchased a take out dinner from there last week.Anthony died a couple of months back, but his wife and Marco, Anthony’s son will be happy to take your order to go.
It is in a new location off of Government street across from Brewbachers.
Anthony was once a chef at Europe’s while it was still open. Good food.

I remember when I was around 12 years old (1980) there was a smorgasbord restaurant where Ruby Tuesday’s used to be around college and corporate. I think there was a little mall attached to the buffet.

I remember 99-02 timeframe and Mac Grille was packed. Every single weekend night. Waited an hour for a table many times.

Same with Chili’s in College Dr during that same timeframe.

I can’t tell you the last time I went to a restaurant that was an hour wait. Maybe 15-30 minutes but rarely an hour these days.

That's true. Jesus I forget before we saw an Outback and a Chili's, we didn't even know what that chain stuff was.

Didee's on North Blvd. best duck in La till the place got shut down in the 70s by race riots.

Iir, Didee'e had some investors convince him to move to a new place on Airline Hwy.i ate there a few times. He got in trouble with the IRS I heard and had to shut down. Used to go to the original place on North and bring a nice bottle of wine. He would always join us for a glass.

No, and I can't believe it hasn't been until now.

Also I'll add Fongs on Monterrey where Tim's is now, he used to be on Addams Ave. Any time I'm in that area I'll go to Tim's if I can.
