There is a 600 per week Federal stimulus added to that plus the 1200 stimulus.

You are aware this has not started and nobody knows when it will, right?

You mean there are people on the OT that know people who haven't long since paid off their mortgage on their palatial estates? Or "shudder" who actually pay rent?

What state? Most states have implemented a freeze on tenant evictions. Your friend may have to eventually pay back the rent, but he won't get evicted.

Sauces with the IRS claim 5 weeks. The task Force said 2 days at the presser today.

The thing is even if people get the money will they do the right thing or piss it away?

One of my tenants called today, terribly upset, crying, said her business had been shut down, and she was not going to be able to make the rent. She has been a wonderful tenant for years, and has always paid on time with no issues.
I told her don’t worry about it, we are all living in a crap hole right now, we will just figure it out as we go. I truly believe in karma, and I have had people cut me some slack back when things weren’t going so great for me. It feels nice to pay it forward.

Why not make this post to begin with instead of acting as if there’s a stimulus currently hitting people’s bank accounts?

Anyway - I can’t imagine any of my friends will avoid paying their rent once they can, but can’t speak for yours

Are you stating the Fed Gov isn't adding a 600 per week payment to unemployment checks?

Or that there isn't a 1200 payment?

Need clarification here Mr. Edgy.

He’ll just have to make up the missed payment later after the eviction moratorium ends. Or be evicted.

Nobody is saying that but the thread is pretty straightforward.

Do you know anyone not paying their rent this month?

Stimulus isn’t here. So yes, safe to say I know people not paying the rent that was due yesterday.

My tenant. She texted me and said she was struggling but just landed a job and would figure it out. I texted her she doesn't need to worry about rent in April and it isn't a loan its a gift for keeping my house clean plus you've never missed a payment in 5 years. I got an amazing hallmark card today.

Good on you. Humanity needs a whole lot more of this, especially now. I’m lucky to own my own land/house.

We are very fortunate currently to live in a home that was given to my SO.

Also fortunate to not be out of work.
