20 mins. in and Marty is just one of my favorite characters.
Consistent and Logical. And you can tell every choice he makes is from his character, and not plot driven.

Wendy is still, more than ever, a raging count.

Wendy is the fricking worst
ETA: I’m on episode 3. I’m guessing she only gets worse?

I hope she sees this and rewards you with sex lol
Season 3 is trash. Jason Bateman has like 5 minutes in the first 3 episodes and his gross old wife has all the rest
This is like when westworld became follow the black lady around world
It’s like if they made a whole season of skyler cooking meth

This season started with a bang. Still on E1, but Wendy is what we all wanted Skylar to be in BB

I think I’m through 3, maybe 4 episodes. If Darlene isn’t dead by the end of the season I’m going to be pissed. Luckily she hasn’t been a major storyline so far, but I hate her so much I just want her gone for good.
ETA: welp, just finished the season and my wish definitely didn’t come true.

why do they make these casino boats so tiny on the outside, then when they show the interior sets they're the size of an aircraft carrier

Ruth - What’s in it for me?
Marty - You know, if you want to get ahead in business, it’s questions like that, asked in that way, that you’re gonna want to avoid.
Ruth - frick you! Is that businesslike enough?

I watch Ozark because I find the show to be highly entertaining. It entertains me despite being a mediocre series.
Throughout the history of this show, the writers have continued to create unnecessary scenarios in order to create a character reveal. Case in point, I just finished watching the episode where Navarro has Marty and Wendy purchase interest in a stud farm under the guise of investing in a legit operation. But we discover all Navarro wants is to deball his drug rival's horse which is stabled on this farm.
Now, Navarro could have done precisely that without Marty and Wendy going through the efforts of purchasing an interest in the farm. That whole thing was created just so Wendy could angrily call him and remind him that they are partners and for Navarro to issue his degrading assessment of Wendy and her place in his world.
The purchase of the farm was a ridiculous device in order to create that one conversation. It's entertaining but, as previously stated, mediocre.

I finished it today. Ruth was my favorite character in the first season other than Bateman but I dreaded seeing her face and hearing her speak this season. Was she like this before and I just forgot or has Garner and the writers jumped the shark? Good lord she was annoying as hell. I agree with some of the others about her being cartoonishly over the top and throwing in a "fukin" with every single line of dialogue makes every thing she says look silly. I was literally laughing out loud when she was frowning while confronting Marty and Wendy then storming out of the office walking like an ape. The ending was a great WTF moment but the show will be a little less for me after that

I haven’t read the thread, but has anybody brought up the fact that Wendy put down a whole handle of shitty vodka in one night and is able to wake up and drive home without even leaving the store with a Gatorade and a hangover meal?
