I have a high school junior. I can’t say she and her friends have never done anything that’s made me roll my eyes at them, but it’s all normal, harmless teenage stuff. If I were law enforcement this is how I would handle this situation.
Anyone who is caught on camera or in person coughing or doing anything to contaminate any product in a store will be arrested. In order to be released a $1000 fine has to be paid otherwise they will spend 1 week (7 days) in jail.
That will somewhat hold parents responsible because they would more than likely be the ones who have to pay a fine.
If a fine is not paid I am sure a week in jail will give time to think about how fricking stupid they are.
But I wouldn't put it on their criminal record just because I think the penalty would be enough to make them start taking this shite serious.
