Weather radio alarms and the built in alerts on your phone will scare you to death when they go off in the middle of the night, but they certainly do their job. I wish everyone would see that having a NOAA weather radio in your home is right there with having good smoke detectors in terms of importance.

Very, very familiar with nighttime severe weather events. When we have an overnight severe weather event, I have my portable weather radio and my phone (with severe weather alerts) right beside my bed.

The area you see is off Highway 56. That's the road that takes you to Cummins Falls State Park if you've ever been there.
There's just no way you survive the destruction of some of those houses. Simply nothing left. 77 still missing. These numbers are gonna be bad. They've only searched the houses that are still standing so far.
Yeah, my folks live North of town. One of my best friends recently moved out of on of the neighborhoods you see in that video. So crazy.

I would assume they were working around the clock. You'd have thought someone would get them down with bad weather in the area but who knows.

I know. Tornado warnings were already out for counties bordering Davidson to the west that were headed right for them. You'd think he would have been told to shut it down and climb off the rig

I was on the ground 2 days after the Joplin Missouri F5 tornado. It is incredible at the amount of destruction these things create. I don't know if Nashville homes have basements like Alot of towns in Tornado alley. I know it seems safer to be car than out of it. But the cars looked like they were dropped off of a skyscraper

That’s a frame of a pre-engineered building wrapped around the tree. I can see the column leg in the bottom of the pic. The long portion seems to be either roof purlins or wall girts, as they do not appear to be very thick. The rest of that building’s structure is somewhere else beside in that pic.
