All the “positive” Tigers might want to pump the brakes a little. We looked pretty good on pitching this w/e (as expected) but our bats still leave a whole lot to desire (as expected):

Friday 3/30 0.100 BA
Saturday 6/30 0.200 BA
Sunday 8/32 0.250 BA

For the weekend 17/92 0.182 BA

All this against Eastern Kentucky!

We’re looking better but no where near where we need to be offensively to compete in the SEC! This next w/e will be an interesting test for our young Tigers!! Glad I’m going!!

That’s not why Miles was fired.

He was fired because he was losing to shite teams, never adapted to the changing landscape, and a staleness had taken over the program

This is the general message about the team overall only 8 games in. Nothing is usually as good or as bad as it seems this early on.

Agree 100%

Agree again. We will get a better idea of how good the pitching actually is and whether or not some good hitting today can carry over or not.

Saban's success magnified Miles' shortcomings.

Miles was allowed to stick around a couple seasons too long IMO. 2013 bought him some time, but I would have been all on board with seeing him fired after 2104. He just wasn't going to change and it was obvious.

Nah, no reason to downplay it in that way. He was bad enough on his own

Lmao more spin, more dishonesty

Do you ever argue any other way instead of calling people liars? Every time someone disagrees with you or calls you out, that’s not them lying. Grow up.

And do you do much more on this site except for argue endlessly about how displeased you are about coaching, whatever the sport may be? You did it for 3 years in football and have been doing it all season in baseball and basketball. Do you have any idea how many days (yes days) of your life you wasted all off-season last year crying about Ed Orgeron? How did that work out for you? Maybe feel like all that emotion you bled all over this board was a gigantic waste of time?

I don’t know why you even pretend to be an LSU fan given it seemingly makes you so unhappy all the time. You’d likely be a lot happier if you let things play out before trying to fire everyone on the internet and telling everyone else they’re dumb liars when they dare challenge your reactionary posting.

GFY loser!!

Celebrating "we're back" after hitting .250 with no extra base hits and getting the benefit of 3 errors is no more intelligent than saying the season is over after losing to Nichols or EKU

Damn right they’re suppose to win, we were ranked 11th, last year started #2, Paul signed the #2 class in recruiting, we’re playing EKy not known for anything much less baseball. I’m not a negative poster about LSU, but we’re 4-3 with 3 losses 2 of which are Nicholls and EK so don’t tell me we are not suppose to be upset with mid week losses. I don’t bash when they lose and sure don’t get overjoyed when they win a series against a powerhouse EK. But you expert baseball coaches tell us how we should feel about our team and don’t say they experimenting with different lineups, what the hell do you think every ball club in the country is doing, oh that’s right the injuries, good thing no one else has injuries. How bout just once, one week we beat the mid level team on Tuesday and then sweep the opponent on the weekend, then spew your spirit at everyone,at least you’ll feel confident inside while you’re trying to tell us fans who question why we can’t just beat the shite out some people consistently, that’s all.

No question our hitting needs to improve but our pitching only gave up 6 earned runs in 3 games this weekend. That will win a lot of games.

Even in the loss Friday night, LSU only gave up 1 earned run.

Can't you just celebrate that a little bit rather than having a meltdown over the hitting?

No meltdown here Russian. I knew we would struggle to start the season.

I'm far from pleased at our performance to date but also understand baseball, especially LSU under CPM but I'm also not surprised and optimistic we'll improve.

I probably wouldn't drive 10 hours to Houston if I was "melting down" or a Nega-Tiger...
