It's the weekend. Private labs putting out less data. Should be reflected with a bigger spike tomorrow or even Tuesday.

Wouldn't surprise me for a lab to normally reduce staff on the weekends, but sort of different circumstances.

Normally they do, but staff shortages for weekend coverage is the real issue. They're working all week now, just with fewer bodies on the weekend, especially Sunday.

Alright, man. Hang in there. I think a lot of posters on this board are praying for you and will be very happy to hear you are better.

Cliché but stay strong mentally. It’s but a blip in time and you’ll be home before you know it. Listen to the MDs and let ‘em do what they do. Good news is you can still post on this website, which as we all know is most important
Be well.
Be well.

Trying my best. I had a great attitude at first but each day I find myself struggling a bit more upstairs. It hit me this morning that if I get worse and get moved to ICU and don't make it, I won't even be able to say goodbye to my family. Not sure if they can even hold a funeral either. I know thinking about those things is unhealthy and unproductive but here we are. The doctor told me that he'd hope to see more improvement by now but that this is still just day 3 of the new treatment and maybe it has at least kept my symptoms from progressing any worse. Don't get me wrong, I am not laying here all day feeling sorry for myself or thinking I am a dead man. I still know I am gonna live longer than this stupid virus. There is just nothing but time to think and reflect when you are alone and can't leave so your mind can drift in the wrong direction if you aren't careful. I do really appreciate all the encouragement and well wishes. It is therapeutic and is good for my morale. I told my nurse that domino's for dinner tonight would improve my outlook and I think she is actually going to ask if she can order me one. Not getting my Hope's up though.

Do they have you on zinc as well? And if you’re not on something ask if they can give you something for depression — I’m almost wanting something myself and I’m home and well.

It’s possible your lungs have already taken a hit and no medicine is going to speed up that recovery process but the medicine is keeping you from falling into that cytokine storm that kills people. Who knows

Not sure about zinc. She is giving me some pills in the morning but I think it is probiotics or something. Is zinc something you think would benefit me?

I myself have zero idea — only have read what some has talked about/thrown around here.
Tiguar, got any thoughts?

Kentucky had 48 new cases, no new deaths today. Governor thinks the next 2 weeks will be important for getting on the downside of this, at least state wide.

Stay strong , positive and resolute. You are destined to see many more Tide victories and many, many happy days with your family. Sending my healing vibes your way , CD !

Gotcha. I will throw it at the doc when I see him. Can't hurt to ask.

Ever read Victor Frankl’s Mans Search for Meaning? I would highly recommend it. Don’t discount the importance of mental discipline and hope during this time. Prayer and rest will do you good. Hang in there.

Welp, the country is fricked... Federal guidelines extended until April 30.

Awe shite. I’m about to lose my freaking mind. Seriously. Someone will need to call a prescription in for me.
ETA and I gave you the downvote not because of you but I don’t like the news.

Yes. We are absolutely completely fricked.
I legitimately do not think we can survive another month of this shite.
You can’t lock down the youth of this country without school or social events for two months and confine them to their houses.
Then you shut the economy down and have massive layoffs and entire industries like restaurants and tourism abandoned and we are headed for a riot in the streets crisis

Zinc has been known for ages to interfere with viral adherence to cells, can’t hurt but dunno how much it’ll help at this point
