Yea they were definitely under reporting or just not testing as much prior to postponement. But either way, it’s not like their hospitals are packed with people dying so they are still doing social distancing and hygiene right.

I see you’re planning on going down with the ship on this one. Good for you

That's what she said.
Unfortunately we likely won't know anything about immunity and the recurring virus until an antibody test is widespread.
We should have a lot sooner given what China claims but their BS can't be trusted so we will just have to do it ourselves 2-3 months later than what it probably should be.
If it's not mutating and you're a healthy individual, its probably pretty safe to assume it is unlikely to cause symptoms more than once. But then again there are things like shingles etc so who knows.

Metro Public Health Department officials announced today a total number of 394 confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in Nashville/Davidson County, an increase of 18 cases in the past 24 hours. The confirmed cases range in age from two-months-old to 84-years-old. Of the confirmed cases, two patients have died from complications due to the coronavirus disease; 14 others remain hospitalized; and 80 individuals have recovered from the virus. The remaining cases are self-isolating at home and have mild and manageable symptoms. MPHD received 60 calls to its COVID-19 hotline yesterday.
Total number of Cases: 394
Number of Cases confirmed today: 18
I've been thinking on this. @TheCaterpillar, are you looking at hospitalizations of everyone and Cooper's office is only counting Davidson residents and not people from outlying areas who've traveled in?

Nola and San Fran looking good there.
Seattle conspicuously absent.

How is New Orleans looking good? They're staying on the same trajectory.

California and Texas are now trending towards under testing as far as test results compared to other states and populations.
California since early last week has been reporting pending tests in daily updates of around 50,000 to 60,000 something which if true next week will be big for them one way or the other when all results come in. As of yesterday their confirmed numbers are based on less than 21,000 test results (less than Louisiana), but supposedly have done around 89,000 tests across various labs and just waiting on 68,000 results.
As of yesterday Texas numbers are based on 25,260 test results (just 99 above Louisiana), and I have not heard of any big pending numbers for Texas.
I fear cities on graph from these states are currently having actual positive numbers under reported compared to others.

Thanks, I’m glad to hear that. Spoke with my friend last night and they are doing well. His wife is working from home and he’s going to work but being as cautious as possible.

Not yet. Still sitting in the same shape as when I got here. Right now I am thankful I haven't gotten worse. I am ready to go home though. Hospital stays are kind of like a mini vacation away from everything but after a few days it gets old. I was only able to sleep two hours last night. Every time I would actually fall asleep a nurse would wake me up checking my vitals. I miss my kids. I am trying to remain positive as if I can just will this shite away. Mind over matter. Lol. Thanks for asking.

Really good news for our state today.
Louisiana deaths per day:
Today - 14
Yesterday - 18
Friday - 36
Thursday - 18
Wednesday - 19
Tuesday - 12
To only have 14 today is excellent.
If you were following this computer model, it predicted that we'd have 36 deaths today.
We went from 336 up to 380 on ventilators, which is a manageable increase. Total hospitalizations went up from 927 to 1127.
Total new cases only went up by 225, which is great, but it's also because we didn't get a big batch of tests back from Quest or LabCorp (we got a total of 2710 results back today, as opposed to the 3802 we got back yesterday).
Still, to get have 8% of our tests come back as positive is fantastic -- that's about half of the national average.

Yep, while the private labs have gone to 7 days a week, they are running with much smaller staffs on the weekend. Plus, from what I understand they are understandably overwhelmed at this point. LSU's lab should be coming online any time now.

Im wondering if other have taken priority or if Louisiana just isn't testing as many

I fear this in Illinois too. Just saw Carle in Champaign is only now testing. That's insane. It's the largest network in central IL. Its concerning too that larger rural counties have no cases. When I say rural I mean the area not towns. Example macon county with Decatur having two hospitals have no cases. The majority of cases are in sangamon which is Springfield, but those numbers are only a handful still.

Does the state gets the results before the individual?
I know of someone tested on Tuesday and they haven't received their results yet.
