What goes down on your neighborhood's NextDoor?

Mine can be broken up into a few types of people.
1. Old people who use it as if it's Facebook - They post every time their cat has a sniffle or when their grandchildren go play at the park. They get pity likes from regular people and comments from the middle-age women.
2. Nosey middle-age white women - They comprise the bulk of the content on NextDoor, as they post on it 24/7 and seem to view themselves as the NextDoor police. They're either freaking out over something trivial such as a black guy walking down the street or rallying other middle-age white women against a person or place that they perceived to have wronged them. They typically suggest places like Outback as good places to go for date night.
3. Uneducated/Unskilled - The insurance salesmen, realtors, and yard guys who shill their services on every post remotely relating to their industry. This group changes constantly as none of them stay in their respective industry more than a few months before jumping to another job.
4. The regular people - This group is the most quiet and only pop in every now and then, likely due to fear of having to interact with the three groups mentioned above. They likely the largest group on NextDoor, but post the least.
Typically, my NextDoor is filled with the middle-aged women riling each other up while the boomers post that the mail hasn't come today and the newspaper arrived at 6AM instead of 5:45AM like usual.
When the unskilled labor jumps in, their posts are usually littered with grammatical errors and do not provide any details, just "call XXX-XXX-XXXX".
NextDoor is a disaster, but it's a trainwreck you cannot stop watching.

Recently it has been complaints about the excessive amount of homeless people shooting up out by the local shell

Mine is incredibly entertaining. Last time I checked it some stay at home mom was bitching that the mailman parked in a handicap spot at circle K. Took a picture and all. The only thing she didn’t do was say anything to do the mailman but rather bitched about it on next door exclaiming “look at your tax dollars at work!”
Thanks Linda
Thanks Linda

My neighbor, Randy Sepperrino, is always on our NextDoor app for yelling too loud during Bills games

Mostly people losing and finding dogs
Posted on 1/23/20 at 1:31 pm to TigersSEC2010
Had some lady call security patrol because a dog was left in a car with no windows down (50 degrees outside) and fireworks were about to start.
The dog was barking and "terrified"
Probably terrified because some stranger was standing at the window and trying to get inside the car.

"HUGEEEE dog by the stop sign!"

My feed is mostly lost & found pets, “did you hear XYZ noise?”, and people asking for various vendor recommendations. It’s super boring.

to the left , elderly woman, hardly leaves the house.
to the right, trashy white people who never cut their grass and have 2 annoying dogs.
directly across the street, black family with immaculate yard. guy works on cars in the driveway. has a lot of customers. rarely see the rest of the family.
across to the left trashy black folks with couches in the garage where they sit and smoke 24/7.
across to the right black family with nicely manicured lawn. guy is a plant baw who does small engine repair as a side hustle. 2 of the most well behaved dogs i have seen.
ETA: guess i dunno what "nextdoor" is ?

People kidnap animals and bring them to their house. Snap pics of kidnapped animal and posts that the animal wandered into their yard. Guy 2 houses down called one person out by attaching a home security video to his post. Showed lady getting out of her car and grabbing dog. Dog was 3 feet from the road in his own yard. She lives 2 blocks away.

I never knew how many people can't manage to keep their dogs from getting away until I joined NextDoor. That's the entirety of my neighborhood's page.

Nextdoor drinking game is taking a shot every time someone posts a lost cat or dog.

Funny you should say that. You'd love NextDoor. It's like Facebook for your neighborhood but mostly it's just people bitching about stupid shite.
Check out BestofNextDoor Twitter. It's hilarious

Unskilled can't afford my neighborhood baw. We don't have that problem.

On mine, it's alot of people bitching about kids riding four wheelers and golf carts like bats out of hell on the roads. And it's justified IMO. The parents of said children always seem to say "just let them have fun."

Everyone be aware of potential thieves in the neighborhood!!!
I went to open my car this morning and it was unlocked. I NEVER leave my car without locking it. I checked the inside and it doesn't look like anything was taken, but it's too early to tell. Please let everyone know that my sister's cousin in law saw on Facebook that thieves can now unlock cars using a new iPhone app!!!! Please report any suspicious activity!
