Anyone living in my neighborhood hating fireworks is fricked. Some really good displays in the 3rd before midnight. Sounds like a war zone on the beach.

People freak out about coyotes, the house painted sky blue, and if dumpster diving is worth calling the cops

Twice a year the loons come out complaining about fireworks. They really think that their post on nextdoor is going to change a decades old tradition that's done across the country because their little lap dog gets upset. There are easy ways to deal with this problem that people are too lazy to look into.

Current best topic from my hood:

“How do I contact the Sheriff? Kids lighting a fire at the pond”

I responded “Try 911 and write it down somewhere because it’s a difficult number to remember”.

Mostly my neighborhood bitches about fireworks or asks when Trader Joe’s or Costco is coming.

Not 30 min ago:

"This woman was knocking on my door (shows a pic on Ring) at 4:15. Anyone know what she wanted?"

And some goof wants to know if anyone wants to start a writing club.

Had a discussion on needing a permit for changing a toilet that went on a few days then Matt Morris the ex con contractor chimed in and it went for another week while he got roasted as bad as he did here and pretended he was Frank Loyd Wright as well as Perry Mason.

That guy does not feel pain. He has been humiliated on all news networks and got lambasted here last year. He will keep going and going.

He is now Josh, mind you.

Not sure. I asked him that same question while he was defending himself on TD while in church.

Whatever the NextDoor version of the Droppies is, she would win a lifetime achievement award. I follow as many surrounding neighborhoods as I can for the entertainment. Reading the account about a coyote grabbing little Fifi while the owner was on the other end of the leash and the responses is better than watching the Discovery Channel.

ETA: there is also a SJW/Skyscreamer that constantly posts about his problems with urban sprawl and attempts to rezone portions of St. Gabriel.

NextDoor has taught me that every single person who has ever served in the military in any capacity has PTSD and that no fireworks should ever be set off within 5 miles of any of them. Doing so makes you an insensitive, unpatriotic ISIS loving monster.

He probably gets muted more often than not (name rhymes with High Loan)

I love that dumbass who won't due REAL work like landscaping or remodeling, but considers himself to be the best "handyman" because he can rake leaves and dig up weeds. Someone called him out for not doing proper work and all of the 80 year olds started defending him. Then, someone wanted his number but it is out of order.

The coyotes and fireworks are the most irritating.

We have coyote and fireworks threads pretty often. We've also had a bobcat killing cats lately which has been fun.

My favorite was this lady that was driving home late one night in my neighborhood and said she saw a "gray wolf" crossing the street. I replied to her "ma'am that was probably a coyote" but she insisted it was a wolf

El Chapo. If you don't know of the travels of El Chapo, you don't live within a 2 miles of me.

I was just coming into this thread to say something about this legend! He actually lives in one of my surrounding neighborhoods, so I've never seen him in person, just get to read all about his adventures.

Most of what I notice is coyote/fox sightings. This usually prompts comments like:

a) hope it didn't get the latest lost dog/cat that is missing!
b) Aww, how cute! Lovely creatures!
c) Will they attack humans?!?
d) Shoot 'em all! (This leads commenting group "b" to start arguments about how the coyotes/foxes were here first and we've encroached on their land, and you shouldn't let your dog/cat out if you care about it anyway.)

ETA: I forgot about the grainy pictures of the "black panther" captured on surveillance video in someone's driveway. Someone said it was a jaguarundi, a few people said it was a bobcat even though it had a tail in the pic posted.
