I went from $38k to $24k to $75k in three months back in 2014.
Life changing year for me.

shite... And I was feeling pretty good about 42.5% a couple weeks ago in this thread.

My salary has been the same for the past 6 years, but my annual bonuses have been increasing annually by about 15-20% each year....the number last year was 60% of my salary. Well, this past year was really successful so my bosses came to me and told me what my bonus was. I almost passed out. 40% increase from last year and it was the same as my salary. I work for a family owned business and I’ve been there since ‘95. We started very small but the blood sweat and tears are paying off tremendously. I’m very grateful for my bosses, but the are very grateful for me too.

If it was the same as your salary, and last year's bonus was 40% of your salary, then it was a 67% increase from last year's bonus. Not 40% increase.

You are correct. My bad, was doing it in my head and got mixed up. Good thing I have a calculator at work.

Went from $15,000 a year as a commercial real estate appraiser trainee to almost $150,000 a year after getting my license. Quit that job after 10 years and started my own biz.
Made $5,000 profit my first year (1.5 million in rev) to losing money my 2nd year and YTD this year I have already pocketed $90,000. Expecting to net half a million this year.
emotional swings are the hardest part about being self employed. one month I think I am a God and the next month I feel like a retarded redneck incapable of producing anything

50%. I graduated and started working right before the dot com crash. I stuck with the company for a few years but got minimal raises. When I looked outside the company, I got an offer for 50% more. What's funny is that when they asked my salary requirement, I asked for 25% more than I was currently making. I really had no idea what I should be making and figured they'd bump it down to 10-15% which I would have been ok with. When I got the offer and it was for 50% more I was shocked.
I told my current company at the time I was leaving and they countered but had to get CFO approval. It was such an unusual raise that HR wouldn't sign off on it.
I wound up staying for less than 2 years then jumped ship and got another 30% raise.

From 47k to 75k back in 2007. Took on some supervisory responsibilities. Since then despite regular raises, largest has been 5k. Need to switch jobs but this job includes a pension and I’m close to earliest retirement age (immediate lifetime payout) under that plan so stuck til then.

I’m in sales so it’s not quite the same but my base comp once went from $80k to $175k. That was based on expected commission though.

I don’t remember the specific percentages, but I moved about 50% my first two years with my company. It’s slowed since, usually 3-4% annually but have gotten a couple of 6-10% raises. Not to mention I went from making only a Christmas bonus of about $1k to $7-10k annually plus project completion bonuses which could be anywhere from 25-50% of my salary.
I could absolutely swap companies and get a nice bump, but work enjoyment would really suffer. People leave all the time and regret it and are begging to come back.

Compared to my first job out of school in 2008, I’m making 400% more.
Since January 2019, I went from 92k to 131k in South Louisiana. So that’s not too shabby for us for not being in sales or management.
