After residency training many MDs will go from very modest salaries to 8 times more - obviously this varies a lot depending upon the type of practice.

First year out my raise was 780%

36k w/ no bonus to 55k + 20% bonus

So ~53% I believe? Someone check my math. Moved to 60k now. So went 36k to 60k in about 1.5 years.

NO to DFW and changed industries.

You’re in LA? Mind sharing what builder you’re with? Thought of moving back to LA in a few years has crossed my mind.

I received 47% increase which is life changing at this point. I'm glad to see so many others have experienced similar gains.

I submitted my resume on indeed a few years ago. Someone must have seen it and ratted me out to my supervisor that I was looking for a new job.

My supervisor then assured me he would work with me to increase my pay. I already knew he saw my resume on indeed, so I told him I applied at a few places, but nothing yet. Since then, my pay has increased 56%.

Booming up here in the Triangle, too. We also have much milder summers.

Dallas, Houston, and Austin markets are all on fire. I get recruiting calls at least 3x a week. I like my company though.

Tbh I've never understood it. As management, it's so much easier and more efficient to retain quality employees versus dealing with turnover and subsequently paying higher starting salaries but so many companies seem content being in a constant state of retraining.

It could be that the company does not have enough space on the catergorical chart. Eventually that employee will become or take the managers job. And that wont happen because middle management doesnt want to get replaced. So they have to leave to secure the positions of middle management

Debt and malpractice insurance and everything else. But that's ok you can rub some dirt on your diabeetus or cancer. Somebody has to be a doctor. Yes it pays well but you start life late and in a hole. I wouldn't say he's looking for sympathy but the debt is a fact.

Do you have an email I can ask you some questions? As someone fairly new to industry and trying to go from asst super to super and I believe we’re around the same age.

I did 40% pay jump after I got my PE license. The catch though is I jumped jobs to get it.

I was about to say that Orgeron went from a $450k/year d-line coach to about $3.5 million per year. That wasn't a bad jump

Went from $43.5k/yr to $145k/yr last month. A little over 300% increase. Didn’t get a new degree either
