From Brody Miller. I don't have a sub to the athletic but he did include this little bit in his tweet:

quote:

Brady's dreams were always clear: "His goal was to get to the NFL."

On Brady and recruiting, one #LSU staffer said:

“He was always ranking the board and watching the film. Just didn’t enjoy the communication aspect and all the teenager shenanigans.”

I can totally understand this. Some people have it in them, a lot don't, and I'd probably fall into the latter.

Good luck to you, young man.

If I were an up and coming football coach, my personality, I would 1000X rather the NFL to college for the exact same reasons. Not to mention being in a major city versus college town you have no connection to.

It must be so exhausting having to recruit every day of your life. Genuinely don’t blame JB for getting paid to do less

He wants to work football, not recruit a bunch of kids who attention whore the whole process.

The guy loves breaking down film and designing plays. Can’t blame him for not wanting to waste time sweet talking teenagers when there’s a job in the NFL where he can focus on what he loves. Recruiting isn’t for everyone.

I get this. I would hate that shite too.

Good for him for knowing what he wanted, working hard to get it, and bringing us a title along the way.

I'll forever be grateful and happy for him...unless he comes back to coach Alabama.

Hopefully fails. Weird how soft a lot of our fans have gotten. I guess that’s what winning does.

Can you imagine being a professional and working long intense hours then having to waste time schmoozing a clown child like Rakim Jarrett? I get it.

Joe Brady was telling people in the building his goal was to get back to the NFL ASAP before LSU took their first snap of 2019.

Thank him and move on.

Do less? I get what you are saying but the hours in the NFL are absolutely insane. Especially for a coordinator who is matching wits with a DC.

Can't say I blame him. Just look at the Evans thing, that's the prime example of that shite.

Not the shenanigans he's talking about. He's talking about all of the recruiting BS. I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming, And then sign elsewhere.

The NFL and NCAA are different animals that look a lot a like each other. Neither is superior.

Some coaches do equally well in both, but most have a preference. Saban dreamed NFL but learned he was NCAA. Brady apparently doesn’t like recruiting and dealing with boys. NFL makes more sense since it has less immature players. Less doesn’t equal zero.

I don’t think he’s experienced enough for an OC job in either the NFL or NCAA. But what the frick do I know?

The dude just helped put together most likely the best offensive season anyone will ever see at LSU, at least until the sport looks completely different, and you want him to fail for moving on to a job he truly loves? If so, what the frick is wrong with you?
