Blackwell sounds like a man who likes to win. Les was a stubborn fool.

T-Bob never played that game. I remember thinking how shitty it was for Miles not to get him in the game at the end as a senior when he was obviously going to lose. I hated Les after that game.

I'm not going to blame players for bad offensive line play. That was 100% on Les. They couldn't hold bama to save their lives and it happened for years. So much so that it made us feel like the talent gap between us and bama was way bigger than it really was.

No. He sounds like someone who knows he was robbed by a negligent head coach who REFUSED to change. This season was the proof of how dramatically things can change for the better, just by getting out of the way of the talent you recruit.

Not that you'll always go 15-0, but the years of not even competing on the big stage, when it mattered most, was because college football left Miles and his 1970's offense behind, and he couldn't remove his pride for the betterment of his team and his own career.

Blackwell has a right to be upset with him. And all the people who backed Miles, and put up with his stubbornness, because they thought we should just be happy with being "ok", got to see what the rest of us were talking about for all of these years about Miles hiding his team's talent.

This is truth. They walked out flat and completely lifeless. Zero energy as they took the field.

No they came out and jawed to start the game. It was apparent we were going to lose by the second quarter. Les tried absolutely nothing new that game.

I always liked Will. I also always liked Les. Whether what Will said was true or not, there was no reason for him to air it publicly like that and crap on Les when Les was just offering congratulations to the program and being very thoughtful and kind toward the current staff and team. No reason for Will to take a shot like that. I'm not saying he was wrong in what he said ... just wrong to say it publicly like that completely unprovoked.

Triggered by historical facts? Although did a good job previously, LSU wouldn't have won 11-5-11 and made SECCG with Lee.

I understand where you're coming from, and that would be my personal policy, as well. But this guy played for Miles, and was personally affected by his coach holding his team back. Watching this season had to make a lot of Miles' former players both happy and sick at the same time. It probably stirred up Blackwell quite a bit and he just vented in the moment.

The o-line got banged up against Ga. in the championship game while Bama was home resting getting ready for the rematch.
Miles tried to use the same game plan they used in the 1st game.
Bama changed their plan up a bit on offense and defense.

Exactly.
Grow up & deal with it.
Move on.
Evidently Willy is still stuck in the past.

They didn't get abused, they were at a disadvantage having to constantly run into 8 man fronts. With no threat of a competent passing attack. Being predictable against good athletes is a recipe for disaster.

He may be the extreme but he’s not the only Miles player to harbor some resentment towards Miles.
Hell, even Rashard Lawrence, without bashing Miles, spoke of how the environment improved after his departure and Orgeron taking over.

Miles was better than his detractors (like me) think but he was also not as great as his fanboys think.

Welp, such emotions happen when players who are giving it their all are led by coaches who are there to just do their job.

2017 and 2018 O lines had problems with Bama. 2019 Oline dominated. Personnel did not change much. Shows you how much scheme and coaching play into solid Oline play.
