I remember a time during the 90’. Whatever team Deion Sanders played for was hoisting the super bowl trophy at the end of the season.

Successful at running his mouth. This is his game:
1. Win, talk shite to opponent
2. Lose, praise opponent

So he comes out smelling like rose either way. You’re suppose to throw down the gauntlet before the game, not after the fact.

Mel Blount was so good they changed the rules to contain him.

Deion Sanders was great in coverage, but he avoided tackling like the plaque. He wasn't a complete player imho. Sherman is damn good, but I will go with Darrel Green.

How many years in a row did Mel Blount go to the playoffs???
Herb Adderley?

Sherman is rated so high because he covers a microphone better than a WR. The media always pumps up the guys who talk.

Champ Bailey had the longest sustained prime of any CB imo.

I've never seen a CB shut down an entire side of a field like Sanders. Teams would go am entire game without throwing to his side. He was amazing.

In his first 5 seasons, Ronnie Lott made four pro bowls and won two Super Bowls while playing CB.

But the answer here is Mel Blount.

Maybe it’s Richard Sherman if you’re 19 years old.

The rise of Richard Sherman

They call him Control-Alt-Delete, cause whatever windows are open on the football field, he will close them up in a hurry

Is he a good corner? Absolutely. Deion was 100 times better & he is one of the few shutdown corners of the past who could still dominate in today's NFL.

Sherman has used the "I look like a criminal but I am actually well spoken since I went to Stanford & grew up in the ghetto" card to his advantage & the sports media has always loved him since they do all they can to try to prop up athletes like him due to their SJW purposes. I am actually shocked he has been able to come back from his major injuries a few years ago like he has.
