It is legal to conceal a weapon for your safety with a conceal carry permit. Being a trump supporter has nothing to do with it. I have had one cor years and thankfully never had to pull it.

Who are you to decide what is and isn't necessary for anyone else? That sounds as bad as someone telling gun owners that nobody needs anything more than a revolver or shotgun.
The whole reason individuals own guns that you can conceal is to deter someone else's bad intentions. Looks like it worked here just fine. The attacker will probably never pull this on anyone else again.

Props to the concealed carry guy, he obviously made the right decision. Some total stranger came up uninvited and assaulted him. No telling what else might occur... you don't wait for what else. And you don't go tit for tat.
