Glaciers are a remnant of an ice age that ended thousands of years ago. Think about how cold it was and how thick the ice is to still be melting. I do t want to go back to that climate and am damn glad the earth has warmed.

That's a really poor statement to print on a national park sign.
Not only is the date very incorrect as already proven, the "man made climate change" statement is a guess.
And I'm not even one who leans on either side of this issue.

Is there a current picture of the glaciers in 2020 to compare to old photos?

It’s the tilt of the earth on it’s axis. It rotates every 25000 years. You the one at 22 degrees or so. We coming around to another cycle. So go buy a thick coat if live in Louisiana or plan to move if you live in Montana. Another ice age coming.

So certain, in fact, that the new signs don’t even bother to venture a guess. “Future generations” means my grandkids will be able to read those signs and pray that the govt will tax them more to save the glaciers.

It is extremely sad that it took 3 years for a National Park to get the budget to change 3 signs.

While predictions of them being gone were off, they are still shrinking. Seeing them up close is incredible. 25 active ones left, the largest being Harrison Glacier.
