I have been to an Eagles game in Philly once and can confirm the fans are pretty trashy with limited class. That being said, Clowney isn't the best person to be commenting. His hit on Foles was pretty bad but that hit on Wentz last night was cheap as shite and he knows it.

Has anybody mentioned the fact that Eagles fans fought a freakin' 76er because he showed up in Redskins gear to the 1st game of the year this season?

LINK

The player in question was a lifelong Skins fan FWIW.

Yes it's widely known that they're the worst.

This is known but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Why would I want everything to be all Kumbaya?

Agreed
I'd rather my fans be known as really tough, loud, obnoxious, trashy etc.
Than "oh we love them, great group!"

I think my CFB team has the tough/trashy moniker down (lead the nation in fan ejections)
NFL team theres like 23 of them.

Philadelphia fans have always been the worst football fans (soccer hooligans win for all sports).

The class and behavior of NFL fans in general has gone way done and seems to be getting worse every year.

I say this in all the worst fan threads and I'll say it again. The Bay area fans are the absolute worst. Baseball and football.

Philly fans are a close second but the SF/Oakland fans are just trash at it's worst.

Because it's a sports game played by grown men wearing tights all making millions playing for people making even more millions. No one has any connection to it other than the proximity of their house to the team's location.

Talking shite, boasting about your team, etc is whatever. People have pride in it, and that's fine. Trying to fight someone for wearing a jersey of the opposing team (while not realizing he plays for another one of your city's teams), jumping in someone's face to tell obscenities at them all while knowing he can't do anything without being jumped by 5 more of you, threatening injury or worse upon opposing players and fans, etc is borderline if not full blown psychotic and 100% trashy as frick.

If another type of player made that comment some people would agree. But since he's not that type, no one is going to just straight up agree with him. It's at least going to come with a "but he".

It is trashy but I hope my fans do it.
To make the environment tougher to win in.
Rustle them up... A LOT

Of course I won't partake in it.
because I rarely attend games, and if I do I do it through work in the corporate boxes.

And don't forget when Michael Irvin had his career ending injury up there, the fans were cheering that too.

As far as American sports fans, Philly has the worst.

Well...they are.

That said, his hit on Wentz was dirty as frick and if he's not suspended for the next game then frick the NFL and their bullshite about player safety.

Death threats in Philly at Eagles games????? That's considered a sign of respect....they are much more tame since moving to Lincoln Financial....the old Vet, now that was an experience, it had a courtroom there for arraignment . Santa Claus once got abused at a late season game there. Old Eagles fans were merciless...if the non interference thing that happened to the Saints last year in the NFCCG happened at the old vet.....NFL would have to pay refs a premium to work there and a few of the Zebras might go to the hospital. It was that rough and the field was worse....just ask Wendell Davis

I am totally out on Wentz for going out of his way to report a potential (at worst) very minor concussion. I personally finished high school practice after a far worse hit than that and he can’t finish a fricking NFL playoff game given the circumstances of his career and how long overdue this moment was in coming for him?

Dude is a fricking coward.

And threw batteries at J.D. Drew due to him picking the Cards over the Phillies.

Add hockey to the list. They’re also the whiniest.
