Just watched Attack of the Clones

It was the first time I've seen it in years. The CGI is bad and the dialogue is an absolute cringe fest. Character decisions lack any logic such as the Jedi choosing Anakin to protect Padme on Naboo. But for some reason I love it even though it's a bad movie. I think it's just nostalgia from when I was a young lad.
The best part of the movie

The best part of the movie

Worst movie in the star wars franchise. Good God what a POS

It is great, isn’t it?

I didn't remember how terrible it was. The dialogue between Padme and Anakin is so bad it's funny. George Lucas was clearly surrounded by Yes Men who didn't question any of his ideas.

How old were you when it initially came out?
I think this heavily influences your view of it. I was an adult and I regard it as easily the worst of the SW movies.
There really isn't a part of it that I like. The plot is forgettable, the dialogue is awful, the love story is laughable and there are so many scenes that are insanely talky.
Even the action gets CGI'ed into oblivion half the time. The arena fight looks like a video game.
I honestly struggle to find anything redeeming.

I was 8 years old so all I cared about was the fighting and lightsaber action. After watching it last night being in my mid-20s, I can see that it's a terrible movie all around. However, I remember playing several video games based on this movie. All my friends were huge Star Wars fans as well so really it just brings me back to my childhood.
I'm sure had I been 25 when it came out I would not look at it so fondly.

It used to be, but then TLJ, Rose, Marry Poppins, Bizarro Luke, and a Casino happened...

Uh no.
Completely incorrect.
Nothing will ever top the last jedi for overall shittiness.

At least AOTC doesn't hate itself or its fans.
It's just a bad movie.
TLJ is far worse.

I watched it in an urban theater, if you know what I mean. When Yoda and Dooku had their lightsaber fight, the brothers were losing their minds. That made and otherwise forgettable movie more enjoyable.

The problem, and it was a big problem, with the prequels is that Lucas had gone two decades without directing a movie. He had lost the touch of connecting with actors.
So you have future Oscar winner and perennial A-list star Natalie Portman giving what would have been the worst performance in a Star Wars movie... if her male co-star hadn't garnered that dubious honor.
Lucas, let us not forget, needed an editor to step in and save Star Wars (alright, A New Hope) because his first cut was incoherent at best and boring at worst.

At least TLJ made you feel something. AOTC is full lifeless schlock with zero redeeming qualities.
Also, Yoda's breakdance fighting was just as bad as the stuff you listed

Hatred. Disgust.

Natalie Portman is fine as hell. She’s aging very nicely too, go check her Instagram.

Honest question:
Why?
I asked this in another thread, but haven't gotten an answer yet I don't think.
AofC is easily worse than TLJ. Easily.

One is flawed by bad acting, dialogue, and visuals. The other is flawed by a nonsensical story that feels as if it works to undermine previous movies and established characters. Those two movies are polar opposite bad movies. Whichever one hates more is likely depending on what an individual movie watcher values more in a film. A lot of people simply prefer a good story that looks and sounds bad over a really really bad story that looks good. Some, however, prefer the latter.
