LSU fans going to have to be extra loud as I suspect there will be far more OU fans there than most expect. Could be an even split. LSU don't travel well anymore.

2011 cutoff was 4057.

That doesn't make much sense based on their distribution list

1-100 get 8: 800
101-250 get 6: 900
251-750 get 4: 2000

That's 3700 tickets out of the 20000. So you take away some for the band and families and some executives and that still puts you around 6000-7000 TAF ranking before they run out and that assumes EVERY single person on the list before then requests their full allotment or requests tickets at all. Maybe they've changed the system since and more people were able to get a hold of more than 2 tickets therefore reducing the cutoff number.

Here's the e-mail from LSU regarding 2011 ticket allocations:

2012 National Championship Game tickets were awarded in the following manner, in accordance with the LSU Priority Point System:

LSU Priority Point System Ticket Limitations
LSU Priority Rank (as of 10/31/11) Max # of Tickets
1-100 8
101-250 6
251-750 4
751-4057 2

How pissed off would you be if you were #751?

Wonder a) how many tickets LSU got that year and b) how many tickets did LSU set aside for students/band/family/etc

That adds up to 10312 tickets distributed to TAF. The allotment is 20000. There's 100 players or so on the team. How many tickets do they get? Even if it's 6 per player that's 600 tickets. Then the band is 325 and lets give an extra 75 for administrators (who don't even really sit, but direct from the front) and extra space the tubas and drummers probably need. That's another 400. So thats about 11,300 tickets. So LSU gave the other 8,700 to people in the AD, Politicians, whoever else? I wonder if their allotment that year was smaller.

ETA: Students get something like 500 tickets so add that in as well.

Hopefully this year they get to 6998

In 2011 I think the allotment was 17500. Between 56% and 60% went to season ticket holders.

I would think 12000 tickets would go to season ticket holders this year.

If that is the case, the cutoff this year (assuming everyone took their full allotment) around 5k.

13,500 per the post-season order form.

I'm lucky I got 2 of the 3 that I requested. Now due to family commitments, not going. Any takers? For LSU fans will seek them at face value and The TAF transaction money request, roughly 400 two tickets. Hate to post them at Ticketmaster or StubHub for Okie fans.

We're talking about the national championship. I know that is very off topic for a peach bowl thread

He is referring to the National Championship, which is 20,000.

That is the most I have ever seen given to a participating school in the Superdome. To compare, the Sugar Bowl has always stuck to a 15,000 ticket allotment.

In theory, when regarding the face value of the ticket, that is a lot of tickets.

pay attention to the game. because if you are in the upper portion of the upper, you will not be able to see any replays. the only replay screen is that circular piece of shite.

Very true. Upper Row 25 could not see the entire screen. Sucked.
