Federal paid leave bill? WHAT?!!!

quote:

The White House and Congress have reached a tentative agreement to grant 12 weeks of paid parental leave to all federal workers, according to a congressional source, in what would be a historic deal.
A draft for a must-pass defense policy bill includes language that would grant the paid leave for 2.1 million civilians who work for the government to care for a new baby after

What a bad idea

Which will lead to a similar burden on everyone

Big companies will support for its value as a barrier to entry for new competitors

They already have gubment jobs! They don't work half the time they're on duty! An extra 12 weeks... wow. Must be nice.

This really gets me. I go to college that my parents slaved and skrimped to get ne through. I worked during college. I got jobs after. I finally created my own business and had a lot of stressful months and years to get it going. I employ others.

There's people in the fed system of employment that are nothing more than leaches. Lazy. They should want to give back 3 months of salary to have such a wonderful job and benefits! Others are much needed and appreciated, but to offer such a benefit is outrageous in our current employment setup. Sorry for the rant. I apologize for my selfishness. GEAUX TIGERS!

I understand this was a compromise to fund space force? Still don’t agree with it.

This pisses me off as well, but there probably not really working anyway. Better they're at home instead of screwing things up at work.
