3 months is pretty generous, but right now there's basically zero leave for new parents. You can't even use accrued sick leave past a certain point.

Turns out, regardless of whether you want to be out to hang around with your new baby or whether you're not at work for some other reason, stuff that needs getting done doesn't get done when you're not there.

Who wudda thunk it?

Same is true for things at home. Unfortunately, the government recognizes that profits aren’t more important than children. What shite priorities.
