For everyone comparing about Ivanka, your problem is that her Daddy, the President, loves his little princess too much to actually stop things like this.

If Princess Ivanka wants 12 weeks of paid parental leave for all federal workers, daddy will make it happen.

The Family Medical Leave Act granted you or spouse up to 12 weeks leave but you only got paid if you had accumulated time through either sick time or vacation time. If this is over and above accumulated sick or vacation, there is no hope for our government.

Not 11 weeks after one year.
Years 1 to 5 get you 2 and a half weeks a year of leave, years 6 to 15 get you almost 4 weeks vacation a year, and 16 and up get you a little over 5 weeks. You can use it, or save it. You are allowed to amass 11 weeks to carry over to next year. It would take a new employee over 4 years to earn the max carry over if one never took a day off.

Thanks for the info!
I knew it didn't sound right.
So you can do that 2 weeks for 5 months plus 1 week in the 6th month? ..still seems like another "public servant" benefit that Joe Blow can't receive, even though he helps pay for the "public servants" vaca.
