My favorite thing to do if I get honked at is to simply pull out as slowly as I can. About the time they get really frustrated,I will gun it. I appreciate them knowing that their rudeness cost them even more time.

I only honk when it's obvious someone is going to hold up traffic at a light, or to avoid a wreck with a careless driver. Perhaps to get someone's attention I'm letting into traffic. That's about it.

But I go out of my way to avoid arguing on the highway. It's never worth it, folks. I've done all of the math.

I just lay on the horn for POS's like you. I have high-def dash cameras so having a recording y'all flipping out when getting honked at for being dickheads is great entertainment later.

I really should start a YouTube channel.

I have a camera to record honkers and their overreactions to being delayed by a few seconds. I agree it is immensely entertaining.

Was in St. Lucia last week and people are constantly honking at people they know to say Hello. I was thinking the whole time people would flip shite if people tried doing that here.

I usually give the person between 5 and 10 seconds before flashing my lights. I rarely honk the horn.

frick that. If the first car in line at a red light doesn't start moving within a couple seconds of it turning green, I'm honking. I don't lay on the horn. Just want to get their head out of their phone so I make the light.

In Ca, the use of your horn is actually illegal unless it's an emergency. Although rarely enforced. Bothers me more when some douche honks at the car next time me at a light. I just laugh and flip them off of they honk at me

Really? I get annoyed on the surface streets in L.A. because people will lay on their horn in the left turning lane if you have a green (but not an arrow) and cars are steady coming. They want you out in the middle of the intersection to try to turn as soon as there's a space.

Yep. A cop told me he was riding his motorcycle down the street and he heard one car honk at another. So he turned around and pulled the honker over just to be an a hole. Asked then what they wanted w since they honked and he thought they were having an emergency. They said they were just honking at another car for going to slow. He promptly wrote them a ticket.

If some a-hole blocks the intersection trying to make a light, thus not allowing cars on the favored street to be able to go, I will sit on my horn with no expression on my face until he or she starts moving just to make them uncomfortable as possible.

Standard dash cam with front and rear cameras. Less than 200 bucks. Maybe your husband will get you one for Christmas.

I used to do that. It doesn't even phase them now.

There was a south LA boy I was in tech school with over at Keesler AFB. He wanted to take me to check out New Orleans, so we hopped in his car and went over there one weekend.

This kid drove like a bat outta hell and was flashing damn near every car in the fast lane to get out of his way. I'd never seen this strategy before (Chicago boy) and was amazed how people actually cooperated (for the most part)...it was like he was parting the Red Sea.
