I live around campus and if I can tell the kid ahead of me is playing on their phone at the red light and not paying attention, I lay on the horn as soon as it turns green.
I dont care...get off my lawn.

We live in distracted society these days. Everyone is looking at their phones... all of the time.
I will honk if they take too long to move on a green light.
I will honk if they're weaving side to side because they're looking at their phones.
And there are other occasions where I will honk because people are obviously not paying attention or trying to get over when there isn't room.

I hear what you’re saying but, at minimum, a horn is very useful if you’re in someone’s blind spot and, not seeing you, they attempt to merge over. Just a quick tap has always been enough to alert them and no one gets angry.
Maybe horns should have a limiter of some type where only a quick honk is allowed. It’s the length of the horn honk that is the issue in most rage cases imo.

Nothing pisses me off more than someone creeping or slow rolling through a green light. I lay on the horn and don’t lay off.

I'm honking all the time. Mostly at people who make rat moves to try to cut lines, like if there's a long line in a turning lane and you drive up to the front before cutting in at the last minute. I usually give a 3-5 second honk for that shite

When that light turns green I count to 1. Then I am on the horn.

I give a quick count to three unless I can see they are screwing around with their phone then they get 0 seconds. I also put much louder dual-tone horns in my vehicles.
