How quick are you on the trigger when another driver ahead of you is slow to respond to a green light or traffic moving?

I usually give the person between 5 and 10 seconds before flashing my lights. I rarely honk the horn.

According to Atlanta driving standards I appear to be a total beta cuck when it comes to this since most of them lay on the horn instantly.

What says the OT?

I always honk when the a-hole next to me is on their phone. It freaks them out and teaches them a lesson.

I'm pretty quick on the trigger. One of my biggest pet peeves is a slow mofo that won't jump off the light.

Cars should not have horns.

Honking is unrefined unless it is to get the attention of someone in order for an accident to be avoided. It is an act of last resort. Polluting our airs with loud, obnoxious noise when it is not necessary should be a fineable offense.

Lol, 1 second

They arent paying attention. They have no idea if that light has been green for 1 second or 10 seconds

I'll give you 2 seconds to move your arse when the light turns green, and I'm giving a quick honk.

3 seconds max. Immediately if its one of those short lights that only let 2 or 3 cars through.

If a jackass sits 5 seconds at a green and I haven’t honked, I expect somebody behind me to have done it already.

I give no more than two seconds.

But it’s a beep beep type of honk, not an admonishing lay on the horn honk

I don’t honk ever. Don’t need two dumbasses on the road. I’m pretty sure it’s against the law as well.

I don’t wait near as long anymore to honk as the main reason is people are looking at their phones.

These days you can make someone run a red light if you honk while the light is red. Everyone is looking at their phones and just assumes they missed the green.

I was driving down 190 a couple of weeks ago and some kid was holding up his phone and looking at it all the way from Erwinville to the turn at 415. He must have been watching a tv show. It was unreal.

I'm a lot quicker on the trigger than my wife (no pics) is. She is always giving me hell for honking quicker than she thinks I should. Light turns green you don't move I'm honking at your arse.

After a visit to Chicago earlier this year, I would say the trigger time there is a microsecond after the light turns green.

They should have bazookas.
I lay on my horn when a mofo runs a red light.

I honk the horn to prevent potential accidents, but rarely otherwise.

Your self-assessment is correct. I count to three and lay on the horn. In ATL you don't have time to frick around at a traffic light.

I live in a small town so I never honk the horn because someone fails to move forward when the light turns green. It is pretty rare in this town for anyone to honk under those circumstances.
