Friend of mine went to TJ Ribs last week for the Coach O show and had a window busted out of his truck. They stole a gun and a few other items and pretty much destroyed the inside of the vehicle. An employee of the restaurant told him this happens ALL THE TIME for lunch and dinner, but they never do anything about it. He asked the manager about it and the manager admitted that it does happen often but he doesn’t have the budget to do anything about it. The guy who replaced his window even said that he gets a ton of business from there. Apparently, the thugs come from the neighborhood on the other side of the ditch behind the restaurant. Take caution if you go to TJ Ribs.

If you own a firearm, secure it

I've never been to TJ Ribs.

It couldn't have been me.

If you live in Baton Rouge and park your car anywhere within the city limits, you accept the increased risk of having your car broken into.

Easy fix.

Don’t live in that shithole.

The bad neighborhood is behind the LWCC headquarters and the motels along 10.

That isn't a bad neighborhood at all. They are coming from the other side of Acadian.

Carry the gun, never leave a firearm in the vehicle. I get after my boys about that even though the driveway is right in front of the house and well lighted all night!

Wait. Manager just admitted to a known hazardous situation on his property and isn’t doing anything about it? Well that’s not gonna work out for them.

A tranvestite stole Jason Ard’s gun from his truck in the Ruffino’s parking lot.

That's not hood. They come from Valley Park.

Eta I see everyone has said this.

I'll add that they have a quick escape through that hood and along creek if spotted. So it's definitely an outlet for them but they aren't coming from Honeysuckle.

I'm kind of curious what one would purchase to do something about it. My initial thought was that I could spec out a camera and recording system for him that doesn't cost much, or even rent one out to him but that really wouldn't do much to help other than give you a video of your car getting burglarized.

So, paying the police to do some undercover work? How much does that cost?

Maybe you should just become a vigilante?

I will keep saying this.

Carrying a pistol is gonna do dry very little for you. Yes, you will feel a little more secure but when you need it, you won’t be sitting in your driver seat

Sounds like it is time for a parking lot guard.
