I am so pissed of right now.

All these stupid sports talk people keep dogging us after one bad defensive game. Saying now we can't compete with Ohio State or Clemson. Ole Miss ran over us with one of the fastest QB ever, after an incredibly physical Alabama game.

We only allowed 100 rush/game until this last game, and last time I checked Fields, Lawrence, Herbert cannot run like Plumlee.

This defense better wake up these next 3 weeks and show people that they can compete with any team in the nation!

I’ve got more important things to worry about, like when I’ll take my next dump.

Fortunately for us we can ignore that because it doesn’t make a difference in how we play.

Settle the frick down. They do this from week to week. Also you can’t deny that Ohio St had been destroying teams. The narrative can and will change.

Your real problem is that you probably grew up in the CLM era, Winning with a potent offense seems alien to you.

Person 1: Yumm...I just sat down to my favorite meal. It is a wonderful dish and cooked exactly the way I like it!

Person 2: That meal is not great. It needs a little something else.

Person 1: OMG....I CANNOT ENJOY THIS MEAL UNLESS YOU SAY IT TASTES GREAT, TOO!

Eat the fricking meal and enjoy it

Have you watched LSU this season? Ole Miss wasn't the only weak defensive game LSU has played this year.

They allowed Texas to throw for 400+ yards for the ONLY time this season...and Texas plays in the big 12. Texas scored on every drive in the 2nd half

They allowed Vandy to match their highest point total of the season (and that's if you take out Vandy's two defensive TD's). Vandy's running back had his second highest rushing total of the year vs. LSU...second only to N. Illinois...by 8 yards

They allowed Kyle Trask of UF to have his second highest passing yardage total of the season, second only to the Vandy game.

Alabama scored on every drive but one in the second half.

They've been able to make enough plays when they had to, all with the cushion of an offense that has been scoring at will, but they have by no means been consistently "good".

Certainly because of the way LSU has played offense this season the numbers against the defense were going to go up. But there have been games this year where they simply could not make a stop in the 2nd half (Texas and Bama) thereby putting a TON of pressure on the offense to be perfect.

Does than mean they can't win the NC? Of course not. But don't just act like the OM game was some sort of anomaly

It really is amazing. Ohio staye has played NOBODY and they forget a month ago this Clemson team needed a senior moment by Mac brown to escape a shitty North Carolina team.

eh, the broader the media platforms/mediums get, the narrower the coverage is for them to compete across those platforms.

So when they get something to talk about, true or false, narrative or story, primary or tertiary, the laser in on that.

In this case it's the terrible rush defense. We're #1... any topic, good or bad, is going to bring the most attention/clicks/ratings. And then you see the 'follow the leader' effect where Media Co. A talks about it on TV, has to follow suit on a radio show, then Media Co. B follows suit because now it is on multiple platforms.

Hence every story/narrative gets beat to death until the next one.

And ponder this... they'd rather talk about our OM game defense than continue to hammer on the idea that Saban left Tua in too long. Also to ponder: why none, or very few, of the stories focus in on our defensive issues all season long; just OM game. Nor do they give OM and Plumlee/RichRod any credit; only our deficiencies. That tells you the WHY the method of pursuit of these stories- because they want to talk about #1.

You should probably worry about your homework that's due 4th period instead of letting this bother you.

Don't listen then, but sports commentators are going to comment what they see. You are lying it's not just one game. UT, Vandy and UF probably had their best output vs LSU. Different teams and schemes. Iowa State and others have held UT to under 24 and they hung 38 on LSU.

Utah State isn't great but decentely offensively, that's the one game LSU looked like a really good D. Maybe AU and GA Southern as well, other games have given reason for concern.
