Youtube.
Damn. Apparently kidney problems resulted in blood clots in his legs. At least that is the story given out.

Steroids are a helluva drug.

He’s only 54 but put his body though hell.

I’ll bet he’s hoppy now.

In 1999, Wheeler discovered that he had focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, a form of kidney disease. Despite press speculation as to the cause of the failure, Wheeler pointed out that the condition is hereditary, although drug use probably accelerated its onset.

In 2003, he received a kidney transplant; he then went on to participate in a demonstration fight at the 2005 Arnold Classic.

What am I missing here?

Can he start skipping leg day?

Drugs are not good for you kids.

Not replying specifically to you prpl,
But the super high protein intake is more likely the culprit. I know a guy who was in to bodybuilding and needed, and got, kidney transplant. Didn’t lose his leg though.

Is this what we’re calling OweO now?

I really do believe that the basis for wanting to have god-like strength, or those people who run ultra marathons in the mojave desert, is mental illness
the difference between these people and heroine addict is basically just what they're addicted to. I know it sounds kind of absurd, but I have a buddy who does this and he has taken YEARS off the end of his life for it. It's bizarre

If he loses the other leg, he'll discover how lucky he is to have the last name "Wheeler". Think of all the nicknames.

Guess he is going to skipping leg day...

That's sad Flex was awesome.
Flex and Ronnie took the devil's cocktail and paid the price in their early 50's plus Ronnie did a lot of damage to his joints and discs by working out heavy.
Meanwhile Herschel Walker is pushing 60 and still a bad arse mofo, competing in MMA, on nothing but salad, bread, situps and pushups. Joints, liver, heart and kidneys all tearing it up. #gamechangers
quote:
He eats once a day, skipping breakfast and lunch. After a long, intense day of training, he eats salad and bread for dinner. He doesn't care for meat or fuss about getting enough protein. Walker's a vegetarian.
quote:
At 5:30 a.m., Walker wakes up to do 750 to 1,500 push-ups and about 2,000 sit-ups.

Add this to the already long list of why I don’t workout.
