Is there a reason for Saban to play Tua?

Why would he?
They lose, they drop to 5, and still make it into the playoffs. The committee will take into consideration a 1 loss Bama without Tua. He gets another week to rest and now they don't have to play in an SEC championship game.
Am I missing something?

You can’t put your fate in the hands of others. If they lose, it’s up to others to decide they deserve to be in. If they win, no one has a choice but to let them in. Same goes for LSU.

If Tua is healthy, he would WANT to play this game and deserves to play. If he can't go, then all of this speculation is for nothing.

If Jones throws 3 picks and we explode on offense and blow them out they would probably be out of the picture.
There is no reason to think he's that bad though based on the limited action he has had where he looks at worst to be a game manager.

It doesn't matter. If tua plays and LSU wins somehow they will say it was tainted.. but at the same time Bama will have no control of what happens next. An unbeaten or one loss big ten champ is in. Clemson is in if they are unbeaten. A big 12 one loss Oklahoma would all get in over bama.

There resume is/would be weak as hell. The only ranked opponent they would have beat would be Auburn. LSU would have a better case of getting in with a loss due to there quality of wins.
