Preferably fiction.
Can’t find a title I really like.

If you dont mind some fantasy type stuff, but nothing too much or overbearing.
The Lies of Locke Lamora by scott lynch is great.

The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. Julien Mayfair is easily Rice's all time best character.

The Hunter--Richard Stark aka Donald Westlake. Great terse prose and story.

My go-to easy reading is Carl Hiaasenn. A lot of his books have the same basic premise, but they're entertaining and easy to digest. Sick Puppy has probably been my favorite.
For non-fiction, my go-to is David Sedaris. His books are hilarious.

Our own author/poster Liquid Rabbit has his "Beers" series. They are easy to read and fun.

quote:
Written in episodic format like many of Michener's works, the book narrates the story of the original Hawaiians who sailed to the islands from Bora Bora, the early American missionaries (in this case, Calvinist missionaries) and merchants, and the Chinese and Japanese immigrants who traveled to work and seek their fortunes in Hawaii. The story begins with the formation of the islands themselves millions of years ago and ends in the mid-1950s. Each section explores the experiences of different groups of arrivals.
