I remember when the TWS first came out it was regarded on here as a good movie with the typical subpar Marvel villain. Somewhere over the years, it has been elevated to The Godfather status on this board.

No, you are right. If any MCU movie was oscar worthy, it was Winter Soldier.
Guardians,Civil War, Ragnarok, Infinity War and Endgame would finish off the top tier.
The Captain America trilogy as a whole blows away any other single character series (although CW was practically Avengers 2.5)

I mean TWS, Guardians Vol. 1 and Infinity War are probably the best three films in the MCU. An argument can be made for any of them.

Cap has a really strong character arc and all three films are vastly different from one another.

If WS was a Bourne movie it would be the best Bourne movie. If it was a Bond flick it would be the best the best Bond flick.

The First Avenger is very fun because it’s also a period piece. It’s fun to see WWII incorporated into the marvel universe.

Infinity war was the best. Every scene was meaningful to the climax. I’ve never enjoyed rewatching a movie more. Due to that, endgame was a major disappointment. Too much priority on “character screen time” rather than to the plot.

Straight up comedy movie. It's fun, but its definitely not the most complete. There was never any real drama or suspense that you would need to be considered the most complete.
