Just drove from Spring area to Baytown. Businesses and homes flooding down the side of 45. Entire car lots of new cars under water. Stranded vehicles everywhere. It's bad

Yes in SOME areas. The flooding in homes was far more widespread in Harvey
Also, at least in the Kingwood area, as long as the river/lake isnt affected everything will subside soon. It wont be widespread disaster.

My hood is fine. This is nowhere near Harvey intensity in my area. I think east of Houston is getting worked over though.

seems like that will be the case for most of the city but what do i know. this doesnt seem like it will last long enough to have true, widespread, impact like harvey had. but once again, i may be totally and completely wrong

People also dont seem to understand why a neighborhood that didnt get a lot during Harvey is getting more during this. If your neighborhood was under the bulls eye that got like 10 inches in a hour on top of being super saturated from the past couple of days then its going to flood. They are saying that they shouldnt pay property taxes because the city isnt concerned with drainage. Its BS.

Client made us leave so I'm at a high & dry gas station at 45 & Gulf Bank...normally rough crowd but tons of safe families that jumped off of 45
People are losing their minds --> trying to get on 45 , going up exit ramp and driving on grass slope..um, didnt end well now 45 north feeder is flooded with 2 crashes and EMS trying to rescue
I'm listening to XM radio with my doors locked but its pretty bad out here

We were told to go home at 10am. Northwest is fine. But we have people that live everywhere

yes driver is safe, he stayed in the van until it started floating, then waded to higher ground. Now we have to figure out where he gets taken to and how to get him home. Gonna be an interesting afternoon.

Water is draining off pretty good now in NE Kingwood but lots of areas flooded.

There's a damn geyser shooting out a manhole next to the parking lot where my car is. I'm on high ground but will flood out as soon as I pull forward.

I think I would rather wind damage from hurricanes over all these monsoon events we've been getting since 2016
This could have easily been Baton Rouge/Central/Denham flooding we saw in 2016 which we also dodged back in July with Barry.
These are becoming way too frequent.
