Imaginary target. Baseball / Dartboard.
Centers car in traffic lane.
Smooth path on turns.

Find a safe path well ahead.

I'm learning all this crap currently. Hopefully it pays off in the long run.

This is one of the most random and cryptic bumps of a year old thread I've ever seen.

As stated above.. I'm going through the hiring process at UPS. Figured I'd search for the topic in TD as I do with most things I google search for.

Friend of mind did it for years, and it's anything but relaxing. He had to switch to an office job because he started developing back and knee problems.

It does pay well though, with great retirement benefits.

Did you misspell USPS?

While we're on this topic, FedEx appears to be in complete disaster mode

FedEx ground is taking like 7-10 days and apparently everyone is working late into the night. Not sure why, but guessing it's call outs and the combination of higher COVID volume.

Have a cousin that does...he says it's pretty low stress. He does shorter hauls though. He says he jumps on the radio with the other drivers, and just makes sure to keep it between the mustard and mayo

I bought a 130lb heavy bag off of Amazon. I bet they had fun lugging that fricker around.

Isn't there a weight limit for packages sent via UPS and FedEx?

Compared to managing adult humans or teaching human children? Yes.

More like sweat to death in gridlock traffic only to lug a 50 lb kitchen stand mixer to Braxtyn's mom's house while she screams at you, "where's Braxtyn's new bat, you a-hole? How's he supposed to get the attention of the scout without his new DeMarini BBCOR?"

I think the image you've painted in your head is vastly different than what it's really like to drive those tin cans around all day. They do get pretty awesome benefits though. Used to anyways. Idk if it's still the same as it was 10 years ago when my neighbor drove a UPS truck.

Hey at least he's betting paid while building up his character index.
When our power was out, I didn't paid squat to build character.

I loaded UPS trucks in college before class. 2am - 8am.

Hard, hot fckking work unloading those freight trucks. They asked me to drive weekend routes, said fckk no. I wanted no part of that job.

That is some difficult work, those guys deserve respect.
