Please put, in to layman's terms, where this storm is headed in the next 24-48 hours.
Hey Liz, I've got you. This storm has decided that you and I are icky, and is going to turn right. You are going to get a few bands, and some rain. I am going to get just a little more of the Dorian love/hate, but will mostly be spared.
It is going to run up the coast (ON the right side) and wreck, flood, rape, and pillage. Think of it as a drunk toddler, heading to Charleston SC, destroying everything east of I-95.

Have you been following their updates the last few days? The path has literally shifted from Miami to South Carolina, and we’re still multiple days out from landfall! They should just say “we don’t know right now, but all these areas could potentially be affected,” rather than pushing garbage model runs to the public for ratings. I understand how hard numerically modeling complex systems can be, but the error on these models are pretty laughable and make it nothing more than a 6 hour talking point, or however long until they update the next model run.
Edit: I just realize you have been following and have been providing great info, which I am very appreciative of

When do they expect it to start turning North?

They have it moving westward until early next week, suppose to slow down also.

With all due respect you clearly haven’t been following the long term projections. Any projections that included multiple models all had this as a possibility a day or 2 ago even. This path was in the cone of possibilities.
I agree with you and the worst is the news like Abc and cbs showing photos and videos from previous storms acting like this is a certainty to crush Disney world.
But the reality is that the curve north was predicted in most of the models. Some before Florida, some through Florida, and some after crossing Florida.
It’s all a matter of when the front that’s in the Western US hits the storm and shifts it north.

Although, knowing how you act on here, I'd imagine you don't have a wife.

The NHC track keeps shifting out east, away from us. Very encouraging news this morning.

2 planes are in Dorian at the moment 1 coming in from the NW and the other coming in from due N going to the eye.
