Luhnow has a decision to make.

Trade Tucker for Thor or give him everyday AB's in RF.

I agree it is time for something to happen with Tucker. We need to either trade him or give him his shot with everyday ABs. The problem with that is who do you sit the rest of the season?

Would suck for us. I guess their bullpen is already elite but you can’t have too many pieces

We’d still have SP advantage over them but their bullpen would be light years better

Mets still engaged on Syndergaard (who’s been linked to SD, Hou, NYY, Oak and Minn) but still seem much more likely to deal Wheeler. Makes sense. Stroman trade highlighted Mets interest in 2020; Noah under control thru 2021, Wheeler a FA after year.

Josh Reddick in July: .200/.274/.255.

Hard to believe Kyle Tucker can't do better than Reddick's recent performance or his season-long .413 SLG / 97 wRC+.

If lunhow doesn't trade tucker and he stays in triple a, he should lose whatever small. Amount of goodwill he lucked into with the Verlander miracle.

Indians are increasingly unlikely to trade Trevor Bauer. Word is, ownership is reluctant to part with a big star with team in position to make playoffs and possibly even win division again

Tucker's month of July hasn't been too great either (.197/.329/.364). We all saw how be performed in his last stint in the bigs. While I agree the potential is much higher for Tucker, Reddick is the proven commodity and plays an excellent right field.

It would be utterly stupid to trade Bauer. They should go after a bat or 2 and try to win the division.

Tucker is still striking out far too often. If he ever figures out plate discipline he will be an elite hitter. Until then he will continue to strikeout or roll over bad pitches to the right side of the infield.

Coming off a WS and ALCS appearance and still not having faith in the front office is crazy to me

Tucker has played in 200 triple a games. Last year he significantly outperformed the league but this year he is only about 10% better than his league plus the PCL is notoriously offensive.

He was lost as a goose at the MLB level. He has a low motor.

Nothing about him screams future all star. He's just a guy.

If they're going to be obstinate about Tucker, then dont expect much. You gotta pay to play.

Sources: Trey Mancini trade market includes interest from #Astros, #Rangers and #Rays, although Houston appears focused on adding a starting pitcher. Texas, while not a strong 2019 playoff contender, is looking for controllable bats. @MLB @MLBNetwork

Not really a huge need but Mancini is good

I’m guessing he would platoon with Reddick/possibly be able to replace him if Reddick stays in a prolonged slump. He’s similar to Castellanos in a lot of ways.
