Mickey Mantle

At the height of his popularity, he played on some of the most well-known Yankees teams of all time. Only 21 numbers have been retired with the Yankees and his is one.

In 2019, i actually think it’s Blake Shelton.. he’s the first person who popped up in my mind when i saw the thread title , probably because I’ve been watching The Voice with my wife for several years and Shelton always reps Oklahoma.. I’m not a fan of country music btw.

Incidentally, i knew Mickey Mantle’s great-niece, Michelle Mantle.. haven’t seen her in a while, but she wasnt bad-looking at all back when i ran in her circle.

Garth Brook sold 140+ million records in the US. Ahead of Elvis and just behind the Beatles.

My wife thinks Micky Mantle is a peice of talking furniture from Beauty and the Beast.

I love MM but this is not a question.

Mickey Mantle is a legend.

Garth Brooks sucks.

Easy choice here.

The Mick. 7 World Series, a handful of league MVPs and a Triple Crown. For the fricking Yankees. Legendary legend

I agree but the question is who is more famous.

If we’re talking most famous person from the state I’d lean Mantle. But I honestly didn’t know he was from there. I knew Garth was. And Carrie. And Blake Shelton.

I hate to say it, but most of Garth Brooks songs don't hold up. There are just a few I can still listen to, the rest are pretty bad..
