This just isn't correct in 2019 America.

I honestly don't think that matters in this case. Mickey Mantle is timeless when it comes to people romanticizing about what he was as a baseball player and a part of americana. I bet a lot of non-country fans even know who Garth Brooks is, but I net a lot of non-baseball fans have heard of Mantle and know he played baseball.

I think that was true in 2000, I don't think many non-baseball fans know who Mickey is today unless they are over 50. I also think 150 years from now more people will know who Garth Brooks was then will know who Mickey Mantle was

Mantles popularity will die off as the older generation dies off

Garth’s music will live on long after he is dead

another thing to factor in is the affliction to learning history that young'n's have, ex., Billy Cannon, RIP, could show up for a practice at LSU and the kids would have to be told who he is, I'd bet you could line up every NFL qb and ask them who Johnny Unitas was and probably get a lot of shrugs and blank stares, "kids" of my generation that were into sports can tell you just about every obscure stat and trait of just about every pro and big time college athlete there ever was, and a lot of them that were dead before we were born

This isn't just a baseball HOFer we are talking about. This is Mickey Mantle. Outside of Babe Ruth, Mantl and Joe Dimaggio are probably the most famous of all baseball players. Mickey Mantle's name will be remembered long after we are all gone.

The cardboard treasure was transported from a bank's safe deposit vault and placed in a secure case that once housed Thomas Jefferson's Bible with UV-lens protection and temperature/humidity control.

The card, which Fogel said was insured for $12 million "and is probably worth more than that," is being displayed in the lobby of the museum where current exhibition "Play Ball!" features Fogel's collection of classic baseball artifacts.

Mike Fruitman, a sports card expert in Aurora, Colorado, said Fogel's '52 Mantle card is at least on par with the 1909 Honus Wagner T206 card
1952 Mickey Mantle card valued at !2 million. Will any Garth Brooks memorabilia have such high value 67 years from now?

He just auctioned of a guitar for $300,000 and he is still alive and playing music

In 60 years when he is dead his shite will be worth 10X what it is now
