I'm sure it's been said, but burning it to the ground is the correct answer.

Seriously. Find someone you can trust and pay them a couple hundred bucks to set it fire, then leave it parked in a secluded place when you meet a buddy for an overnight fishing trip.

No more stinky truck!

Clean the carpet with baking soda.

Then use one of these Meguiars air freshener bombs in your ride. Each smell works great. Have your truck running. Set the air conditioner to high and recirculate. Set off one of these cans, close the door, and let everything recirculate in the vehicle for a while.

Put an few apple cores in a plastic bowl. Apple cores are natural odor absorbents. This trick works wonders for vomit odors, I'm sure it will be just as useful given your situation. Also, try Ozium.

Tomato juice or peanut butter should work. Maybe a combination of both.

This is the correct answer

If you left Chicken in your truck overnight did you at least offer him a beer this morning?

Ozone machine overnight. Knocks out any smell, and anything living inside.

Semi thread hijack, but there's a solution at the end for you.

About 8 years back I was driving a sedan. In May, took it uptown New Orleans for dinner with the ole lady and some friends. Streets flooded. Water was up to the floorboards but didn't seem to get in the car.

Nevertheless, about a week afterwards there was a terrible smell in the car that started off like mildew. Well, shite, guess it got wet after all. Pulled all mats out, baking soda, left doors open to air out, everything you could think of. But over the next few weeks, smell kept getting worse.

Fast forward to June, I'm at the beach relaying the story to a buddy of mine and that's when it hit me. We never took those potatoes I bought for an April crawfish boil out of the trunk! Now I'm at the beach, and I just know car is getting worse by the minute with rotting potatoes in the trunk in New Orleans summer heat.

When I got back in town, I opened the trunk and almost fell over. The potatoes had basically completely liquified. I think I made Vodka. Pulled the entire trunk apart, ran it through a number of cleanings, shampoos, odor eaters, etc., but nothing seemed to work.

Until I had a revelation which worked like a charm. I threw a shitload of detergent in there and traded that fricker in for a new truck. Haven't had an issue since.

I once had shrimp juice spill all over my carpet and I took care of it with a box of baking soda and a gallon of vinegar. Make a volcano in there.

I’d use a brick. Point vehicle towards lake, put brick on accelerator, slam it in drive and then tuck and roll grandma!
