Can you see these from the other side of the state (Cape Coral)? I know shuttle launches were visible in clear skies, but I'm not sure how much bigger they were.

A night Space Shuttle launch seen from NTC Orlando was one of the more awe inspiring sights I have ever witnessed.

Set the alarm, walked out the front door at 2:30 EDT, turned to the North and there it was. A big bright red ball of flame climbing like a mofo (I'm about 135 miles away).

Very cool.
