Is there a limit on how many goals they can "wildly celebrate?" 13 goals is a ton, but it's not like there are usually a ton of goals to celebrate, especially in the marquee event in the sport that only occurs every 4 years.
I love it when people pretend to suddenly not know shite that they obviously know if they're like, actually lived on this planet.
Alas, we all have to pretend we don't know what decent human behavior looks like here because politics.
shite NO ONE, left or right, would consider acceptable in their normal daily lives.......suddenly becomes acceptable because, "well, they hate the same guy I hate!!!!"

My guess is because they're a bunch of Leftists rug munchers.

I do disagree with running up the score.
I'm fine with running up the score because if they don't, the next team WILL against Thailand and score matters in group play.
But, that's an entirely different discussion.

I have no problem with them running up the score. But when you are score goal 8-13 on a 13-0 victory, you should probably tone down the victory dances. It's poor sportsmanship.

K. I can buy that.
That's 1.

This. Score as many goals as you can. Nothing wrong with that. Anyone that has every played soccer though, when the game gets like it did, score the goal, go high five your teammates, and get back on your side. They definitely took it over the top on their late game goals.

That's 1 goal. What about the other 6 or 7 celebrations? And is it necessary for the entire team to do a Michael Jackson thriller flash mob dance because of this 1 goal? Probably not.

Seeing as at least one has been preemptively mouthy about declining one- and another refused to respect the National Anthem yesterday, I hope they never get one. That would allow them to do what they love- bitch even more about MISTER MAN!!!!
Anyway, I'm sure the hundreds watching around the country were very proud of them.

Okay, in your opinion was Rapinoe's celebration called for in goal #9 of the match?

I mean hell. To some extent, score differential matters in late season college football contests when competing for those playoff spots............and there HAVE been some blowouts.
Alas, I don't think I've ever seen a team that was up by 40 celebrate their next 4 touchdowns like their first 4.

When Julie Foudy is actually condemning the conduct of the team, they probably took things too far

I haven’t seen them, but the caption in the OP, makes it seem like it wasn’t the celebration so much as the celebration given the goal differential.
But as has been pointed out, since the differential matters moving forward, then this isn’t the same as celebrating a touchdown up 70-0.

How did you celebrate when you scored a World Cup goal?
Posted on 6/12/19 at 10:53 am to Seldom Seen
If this were PeeWee League, HS or even collegiate-level sports I could see some issue here.
But it's not, it's professional level and sometimes getting your arse handed to you by someone excited to do it is just fricking part of it. If someone is bothered by their opponent cheering about their win then they shouln't be competing at that level.

There is a differential. This is group play. Run up the score at all costs.
Sweden could beat Chile 6-0 and Thailand 5-0, and you'll be glad there is a cushion and you didn't take the foot off the gas up 5-0.
This.
Also, frick not celebrating wildly. It's a world cup goal. Go apeshit.

How did you celebrate your first time having sex with a biological female?
Nevermind. Neither happened.
