Pretty cool. Perfectly preserved

quote:

Decapitated head was found preserved in permafrost within the Yakutia region
The head is almost 16 inches long and the wolf is still bearing its teeth
The head of a modern Gray wolf in the Siberia region is 9.1 -11 inches
Unlikely to have been the trophy of ancient hunter as predated early man there

He has appeared each afternoon, for the past two days. He has milky white socks on both feet. If he comes calling tomorrow, I will name him 'Two Socks'.

I respectfully disagree.

I mean, it could have been torn apart by another animal, but I wouldn't rule out humans.

I also wouldn't rule out shifting ice as the reason for the decapitation. It was certainly frozen right after the wolf died, which could have resulted from a cataclysm. The rest of the body may be somewhere else, not necessarily very nearby.

For real though.

What if it was a werewolf and was in the process of shifting form, when it was beheaded and its heart cut out..
