-Switzerland was their bank and took the all the gold Germany could send them.
-Switzerland has mandatory military service for all able body males. At the end of the service, Swiss men are able to purchase their weapon at a low price. 75% of the men in Switzerland own their gun and have been trained by the government to use it.
-Those men would have taken to the hills in an event of a German invasion.

One of the main reasons is it would not benefit Germany to invade Switzerland. During the war it was very hard for Germany to get hard currency. Switzerland was really the only place left were they could do this. Had they invade Switzerland, this would have cut off their only easily accessible source of hard currency.

Because they’re armed to the teeth with shite tons of bunkers all over the place over massive mountainous terrain. Good fricking luck conquering that.

Per their laws, residents are REQUIRED to be part of a standing militia and keep firearms in their home.
Had Nazi Germany invaded Switzerland, they wouldn't just be fighting against a military, but a fully armed populace as well.

It should not understated that there are secret bunkers all over the country that could house every man, woman, and child. Switzerland in their own homeland is basically undefeatable. Good luck conquering them, because they’ve been preparing for an invasion constantly since Napoleon.

Theres a reason popes bodyguards are Swiss, just because they like to be neutral doesn't mean they frick around. They have a very American-esque approach to guns compared to the rest of Europe. The Alps protect them in the same way a castle wall would and every entry into their small country is rigged with explosives, the Nazi's probably thought that invading Switzerland would take far more resources than it was worth.

Every male in Switzerland has to serve at least 2 years. It would be wise to assume that every male can shoot effectively and would defend their country.
Germany would have had their hands full with the terrain, the fighting abilities of the male citizen, and why conquer when you can landlocked them by controlling all the countries around them.

Hitler was already fighting a war on two fronts. Why in the hell would he dedicate any of his military to attack a neutral country?

Military channel did a show on this. They were ultimately going to first try and annex them like they Did with Austria, and, failing that, invade, but not until they had taken care of England. When that got upended and Hitler turned his attention to Russia invading Switzerland obviously got put way on the back burner. Way too much of a hassle with the mountains and it was not of any strategic /military significance to justify invasion before knocking out the Allies.

Yep, no point. Invading Switzerland would have been like invading the mountains of Afghanistan but with rich white dudes. It would have been guerrilla warfare hell.
Furthermore, Switzerland served as basically 0 threat to attack the Germans. So there was no need to fight with them when they could lend you money and offer no threat.

This isn't a theory. Switzerland was definitely Hitler's bank. They've paid over $1.2B in claims on money the germans stole and hid there.

The Swiss were Neutral, and known for being neutral in such matters. The Germans would have look like bigger dicks than they already were by the world powers if the invaded Switzerland.

I didn't say that's why they didn't invade the Swiss. I just said that's how the probably would have been perceived early on in the war.
They didn't commit many of their atrocities until they were well into WWII.

I worked for a Swiss company. They took managers from all the world and sent us to a military training camp for team building. They were very proud that all men served and had their own rifle at home. We saw a presentations on their ww2 prep. They would have made it tough on Germany
