Abortion issue is a powder keg - in this point in time let it be

Now is not the time for Republicans to make this the seminal issue going into 2020.
There are many libs that are to lazy to vote. However you strike a nerve with them if they feel Roe is going to be overruled.
Concentrate on getting the House back and re-electing Trump in 2020.
This country going furthe down the shitter over a settled abortion issue is simply not worth it.
Dumb

I agree. It's terrible and sad and awful but hitching the wagon to it in 2019 is probably not wise.

Honestly, this issue is one where I feel like the GOP/Conservatives have wind in their sales. Most other issues like Gay Marriage, Healthcare, Immigration, it’s like we’re playing defense.
With the advancement in science and the ability to see clearly what’s going on in the womb, the pro-life argument just makes too much sense. At minimum, we’re trying to protect a life. The Left resorts to hyperbole like “controlling women’s bodies” that really doesn’t mean anything in reality.
The narrative, the science, and the moral high ground now belong to the Right. Time to keep forging ahead.

We have states passing laws to enshrine abortion on demand until the baby is one (obvious exaggeration). We have governors saying it’s ok to let an already born child die in the OR (not an exaggeration). And you think Republicans made this an issue?

Honestly...now it doesnt matter. A red state passed a bill. The dems can leave it alone, or have it challenged. If its challenged, it will no doubt end up in the Supreme court's hands. The administration wont have to touch the issue at all.
Trump will say "we have nothing to do with it, its in the courts hands"...yada yada

Saber rattling for war with Iran.
Passing laws against Abortion.
Just need a third rail here to really make me feel like I'm in a time loop back to 2003-2004 of full swing Bush 43 era GOP with reelection in full swing.

I’m not a lib and I vote, I’m pretty much straight down the middle and It’s almost hit a nerve with me.
I feel like it’s basically a scream back saying ‘hey left- hold my beer, we can be as extreme as you are. Haha’. Which, to me, is never a good look.

Trump is not going to make abortion a centerpiece of his campaign. It was a talking point, but that's not what he campaigned on in 2016. He's more than content to leave the GOP out in the cold to fend for themselves on this issue.

Hey poliboard, this is just a sample of what women really are thinking. You need women like her to win back the house and extremist bills like Alabama is not helping.

Funny how democrats never say things like "now isn't the time to advance our issues."

If we made a law that all pregnant illegals must receive an abortion as a condition to remaining in the U.S. while awaiting their hearing,
would the left be OK with that?

Do you not remember the apeshit reaction to Brett Kavanaugh?
You think those leftists were really worried about Christine Blasey Ford? They weren’t. They were worried about Ms. Roe.

The thing I find interesting is how the left talks about abortion and says it's "settled law" while simultaneously arguing to remove actual rights granted by the Constitution.
Aren't they "settled" too?
Just cut the bullshite and stop virtue-signaling about the atrocious idea that abortion isn't murder.

Yet in another thread you blame the Alabama decision on Trump.

Because he pandered the hell out of pro-lifers to the point where they think they can get away with something like this. (And they're not going to)
It's like Obama and Hillary pandering to SJWs and BLM and Trump being elected was a good backlash to that.
