Either all of its okay or none of it is.
Abortion is either murdering an innocent baby or it's not.
If it's not murder in your scenario, it's not murder in any other scenario.

You sure about that?
Yes.
Trump is not a big social issues President. He may blow a lot of smoke up the arse of the pro life crowd but he is never going to allow it to jeopardize his reelection if this abortion fight goes south.
He's all about jobs, fighting illegal immigration, a roaring economy, deregulation, tax cuts, and keeping us out of stupid wars.
Not a social issue that the right has been fighting and losing for generations.

Trump's real momentum didn't get going until he listened to an adviser whose name escapes me and listed his judges.
Sure, he may appoint judges that happen to be pro-life but that was a trade off and part of the package deal when he got the list in exchange for mainstream republican support to bring it home in the rural areas and the suburbs to an extent in the rust belt states.

Which Donald Trump are you watching?
The one that is calculating, watching to see how this abortion fight shakes out and he will never let it jeopardize his 2020 chances.
It's highly unlikely he will comment at all on these abortion bills.

Its laughable that you think the right has been losing the fight for generations. It was lost at the USSC and since then 80's the pro-life side has been winning the issue. Look at the data, look at the volumes of clinics closing, the United States is now more pro-life than it has been since the decision.
Hell, times square just showed a 4D ultrasound of a clump of cells and the entire place was silent and mesmerized.
Don't take my word, take this guy's word...
Pro-life - skip to 1:00 mark to save time.
or this guy's
Who is this guy?
or this guy doing a State of the Union:
Life anyone?
Now is Trump going to go out and stump for the new laws like Alabama's? No but he doesn't have to. Will he bring up pro-life, pro-life judges, his accomplishments with regards to being pro-life? Absolutely. Will he meet with pro-life leaders? Yes.
He isn't going to run from this issue and will be embracing it more than in 2016 and will be embraced by more pro-life people than in 2016. It already underway.

Abortion is one of the VERY few issues on which the Dems advocate AGAINST government involvement

When are you Boomers going to give up this shtick? Nobody wants to go back to the racist 1960s. Get over it.

Now racism is involved in this issue ?

If Republicans don't stand up for unborn babies then who will?

I never said that. Try reading higher than a 3rd grade level.

I'm not a boomer.
Believing that killing a baby is racist. Got it.

You Liberals are the ones always begging for a handout.
An intelligent person doesn't need handouts.
Actually , Liberals have de-valued college degrees because you all are so stupid.

You have no morals if you don't recognize that abortion is out right murder of the most innocent. You let money guide how you think of morals.
Oh. By the way. I know what your OP is about. It's about keeping Trump in the White house which I'm all for. Keep killing innocent babies out of this. Immorality is immorality. Period

I'm not a liberal. I just don't give one flying frick about social issues. All I want are less taxes, and maybe a repeal of the Patriot Act.

Believing that the country had a moral high-ground in the past is misguided. That was my point. Sorry you see the word racist and lose your ability to think critically.

I honestly believe there is now a glimmer of hope that Roe v Wade has a chance at making it to the SCOTUS in my lifetime. This was not the case pre-Trump. Maybe we aren't crazy after all...

You like the knucklehead part I gather? Me too. Have a good day.

He doesn't have to say a word. The elephant in the room has always been upcoming SCOTUS vacancies. This, along with Thomas's remarks the other day about stare decisis not being absolute, guarantee it as one of, if not the biggest issue for 2020.
I wondered if the fragmented Democrats would be able to get behind a single candidate. This will galvanize them. Will it be enough? Who knows. But there won't be an enthusiasm gap.
Furthermore, it's going to make holding the Senate a dicier proposition than it already was going to be.

over a settled abortion issue
Given all the laws being passed, it hardly looks "settled" to me.
Abortion was illegal in this country for 200 years, that seems pretty damn settled to me.
