Thanks you for proving my point on being bias to LeBron and the Lakers.

You do understand that the #7 pick instead of Ball probably increases their chances of getting AD?

That pick is more valuable to us than dealing with Ball, who publicly doesn't want to be here, and his dad.

Multiple sources have said that Chicago is trying to get Ball for their 1st round pick..LINK /.. That would be the #7 pick. Many other teams have offered their 1st rounders as well. Who on the Knicks would get that kind of value? Lots of people around the League love Ball. Gentry loves Ball. I get the crap about his dad, but the kid has talent and a ton of value still..

I proposed this idea in the other thread -- Lakers send Lonzo to Orlando for Isaac.

Pels would land #4 pick, Isaac, Ingram, and filler.

You go Garland/Jrue/Ingram/Zion/Isaac in a small ball lineup. That's a very lengthy and switchable team. I think Isaac can definitely play off the ball as a slasher and continue to develop his shot from outside.

One key asset the Knicks have is that 2021 unprotected from the Mavs. The Mavs may be decent by then (or not) but that will be a deep draft.

Even if all of them were healthy, this is a set of players who couldn’t reach the playoffs next to LeBron.

That isnt really true. Their record was good when Ball was healthy.

#4 pick in this draft Is the same as the 11th pick or so.

After the top 3, there is a huge drop off and 7 or 8 players that have equal evaluations.

The value of #3 to #4 is a huge difference this year.

Their defense was good when Ball was healthy. Their record was middling.

Based on what Lonzo has been saying, he is shutting all that down. Hes supposedly trying to be his own man now. I guess the risk is still there, but the player himself is talented.

He shown to be an elite level defender, great passer, court iq. Shooting needs major work. Watching Russell elevate his game makes me wonder if getting away from that dysfunctional organization would make something click.

Like others have said, it comes down to what you think of RJ Barrett. Ive heard a bunch of people say he will be a better pro than college player. Some think he is overated. Some like him over Morant. Seems his evaluation is all over the place.

The Knicks package is younger and holds a greater ceiling due to Barrett and Robinson.

Ball & Ingram are the same age as Robinson

The deal crewz thru out in another thread sending Ball to pho was intriguing. Pels would select Garland, add Ingram and some pieces and maybe future picks

And they played probably the easiest schedule in the league to that point.

Kind of easy to look good against teams like the Suns instead of the Warriors.
